I’ll have the following at table #20 during the swap meet.

1) Pair of Factory fully engraved consecutive serial numbered limited edition Ruger vaqueros, stainless steel with 5 1/2” 45Colt barrels. These have been short stroked and fitted with solid brass front sights by Snake Oil George. These are a boxed set consecutively numbered limited run production guns that have sit in the safe, new unfired .

We put a little heavier spring so we have 100% ignition on all the primers. If you would want it lighter that’s something you can certainly have done with your own gunsmith.

They will be offered in other configurations as the series progresses. We plan to have several series all the way to fully engraved nickel finish.

SPF to Yul Lose

I have a powder River brand coat that has been worn maybe twice. It is very well-made, it is marked a large, but I would say it fits more like an extra large. I normally wear a size large and this coat is big on me and is the reason for me selling it. Coat is a 3/4 length,New cost on this coat was over $300. I’ll take $150 shipped or I can bring to EOT next month with pre-payment.

I do know for sure, the Bluing is extremely nice, with deep coloring. As far as the color case goes, I doubt that it’s true color case hardening especially at the price point. Although, I must say, the color case hardening that is on them does look very nice, but I will clarify to make sure my assumption is 100% correct.

If the new revolvers are reliable, and work as described, $900 is not an unreasonable price for a firearm that is competition ready out of the box.

I do know that when Alessandro and I talked, they were revamping the short stroke kit for these guns. The ones that I currently have actually feel very nice and lock up solid. Time will tell as with any manufacturer on the market, but if issues should occur, I know they will take care of it promptly. Kudos must be given to Pietta for at least stepping out of the box and trying to make something better. I’m proud to have them as promoters of SASS.

Just wanted to get the word out that our joint collaboration between myself and Pietta on a match grade single action has finally arrived.

The concept of mine was to bring a fully customized single action to the market that was 100% match ready out of the box.
This single action is designed by a shooter for the shooter and fits all SASS levels from the Multi-time world champion to the brand new shooter.

Alessandro agreed to take on the project with me and build such a gun.

After a few years, we finally nailed down the final version. It’s a Great Western II with all the following custom features,

octagon barrel with beveled muzzle for more controlled follow up shots and less muzzle flip, solid brass front sight for better and faster target acquisition, widened rear sight notch for more daylight to frame out the front sight, wide low profile hammer for a better positive chocking angle, wide trigger, beveled cylinder face for less grab while reholstering, checkered gunfighter style grips for a more sturdy and controlled feel and a smooth super short stroke action to finish it off.

These are called the “Competition Series” from the Pietta custom shop. They will only be available to order from EMF or myself. I will be set up with EMF at the World Championships “End of Trail” next month with a pair of demo guns chambered in 38/357 & 45LC. I’ll be glad to take you to a fumble stage for live fire.
We will be offering more options such as calibers, barrel lengths, finishes and possibly engraving as the series continues. Cost is $900.90 each.

* I will add, after getting my demo guns, the triggers have a fairly heavy pull. I have reached out to Pietta to see about getting them lightened to around 2lbs before shipping the next batch*

As with any new products there will be tweaks and adjustments to make improvements.
