    I remember asking my high school Algebra 2 teacher the purpose of proving theorems. He said, "You need it for calculus." He might just as well have said, "because". Having already met my math requirement for graduation, I dropped the class.

    Supposedly about 14 weeks.  It was hard to get a good picture of her because she wouldn't stand still and cell phone cameras take too long to capture the image.

    I think it was at my first State Match, a stage with quite a bit of movement, firearms staged down range. I went through what I was going to do in my head over and over, went over it as I was staging firearms, even talking myself through it. At the sound of the beep, I did NONE of what I had planned. I somehow managed to shoot it without a P, but plenty of misses.

    After 11 years, I still do that.

    There was no struggle, that’s just the way it was in my house & everyone else I knew. 
     

    edit: we weren’t poor, and we weren’t rich either. Think of “A Christmas Story“ for an image. No complaints. ^_^
