  1. Null, I would expect 2 misses and a P if I was the shooter.

That tenth pistol round was a miss (failure to engage the pistol target) and a P.

That tenth rifle round was a miss since the shooter did not engage where the KO would have been.

Last pistol shot MISSED a pistol target.

"A MISS CANNOT CAUSE A PROCEDURAL"

The 10th rifle round HIT the rifle targets "out of order" = "P"...no miss.

    REF: RO1 p.25

I have seen poor stages where shotgun splatter or rifle/pistol richochettes caused a KO to fall. The shooter is expected to shoot where the tatget should be.

  2. The rule books don't cover every possible scenario that might occur on a stage.

The RO2 reference covers options in case of an actual failure of a target or prop...not necessarily one that is "shooter-assisted".

In event of a situation that is not listed, the most fair and reasonable application is utilized.

The shooter should not benefit from his own error (shooting the wrong KD) by being allowed to quickly dump all ten rifle shots on a single target...

    IMO.

  3. If when the shooter completed the 9 rifle targets he shot where the knockdown was it would only be a miss for the 10th pistol shot correct? Instead of shooting where it was, a shooter has the option of shooting an alternate target. I would not give them the P based on that thinking. ROII pg. 8

As in the previous "WtC?", it is not "target failure" if the SHOOTER is responsible for the unavailability of the target.

Shooter should not get any time advantage for KDing the target for the 10th shot & simply continuing the dump on the stationary target.

  4. Ok what about shooting the targets out of sequence? Would a p not be given? I would think a p for shooting the rifle knockdown with the round from the pistol I the instructions indicated 9 pistol shots on dump then 10th round on pistol knockdown. I could be wrong

    You are.

  5. In 197 there was an episode called New Doctor in Town in which Dr. Chapman (Pat Hingle) was replacing Dr. Adams ( milburn Stone)......my real question is what happened that Milburn Stone was not in a number of episodes and then returned?

Was there a medical issue? A contract issue? etc....

2nd question...how many episodes was Harrison Ford in?...I know of 2 but there are probably more....

#2 - imdb indicates two as "Hobey"...also in two episodes of "The Virginian"

  6. PWB - picture I sent you on Sep 14, 2012 shows your approved way to have a single cartridge available for a rifle reload on a shooters pants belt.

Please resend...the application standards for the rules have changed a bit in the past few years.

  7. I would suggest comparing the specs of the .43 Spanish & the Turkish rounds to see if the longer brass could be trimmed back a few millimeters...after verifying the actual caliber with both chamber & bore castings.

I've had both Spanish and Reformado chambered RBs...still have an 1879 Argentine Remington in primo condition, as well as an Egyptian carbine rechambered to .45-90.

Good info on RB ammo on Track of the Wolf website:

  8. ... Is either of these legal?

If a particular method of carry is not listed, it's NOT LEGAL.

But I'll ask the ROC to be sure.

    Stand by.

Neither of those is a "...cartridge/shotshell belt loop" as allowed in the SHB...p. 11.

    ROC RULING:

    NOT LEGAL

  9. I can count on one hand the number of live rounds I have jacked out over the years, so I sometimes do not carry spare ammo, and a rifle reload is very rare these days, but when we have one I and others have been known to use one of the methods shown in the pic. Is either of these legal?

    thanks.

  10. Don't know if it's true but I heard Wally World made a deal with Remington to be the exclusive distributor?

    Randy

    Don't think so.

I cleared the ammo shelf of the 11 boxes that the Albany, OR Sportsmans Whse had & was informed by the department head that they would have restock in by next Wednesday.
