    Questions about Wichester 92 for sale in Classified:
    Made in Turkey or Japan?
    "Competition ready"?? 
    Does it come with a smooth thread-protector?
    Not "SASS-legal" with a "fiberoptic front sight".

      Made in Turkey. The Winchester is made in Japan. Thread protector is very lightly knurled. I'd have the threaded part cut off & recrowned. Front sight would be the easiest to fix, it's held on by a single screw. You could replace the whole thing or knock out the fiberoptic insert & replace it with a piece of copper wire the same size.
