Derringers I have three: Cobra .22, EIG Italy .22mag, Davis .38.
Use Davis .38 for competition and yep won with it.

Back in old days not that far around 1997-2000 I got my Marlin CBC and did have some carrier problems and if you look at a parts list the CBC Carrier Assembly part # 514562 & all others show different #'s.
Example 1894SS shows # 51402, 1894 & 1894P shows #514461, 1894C & 1894CP shows #514561, Then if you go to 1894CB (45) & 1894CB (44) they show #514461, and finally 1894CB (357) shows #514561. Looks very confusing.
I special ordered CBC Carrier direct from Marlin factory as it was under Warranty and being FFL dealer and such I had no problem getting parts back then. You did have to specify what carrier you needed. Also have gotten Carriers from other sources.
After all of this crazy stuff I have encountered carriers for the .38 and my CBC and all work ok. It is a safe Queen and has been made Widdermatic and slick as the blue blazes. Strictly .38's special OAL 1.50 TCFP 125's & 105's no problems.
Midway USA carriers about $60.00

I was introduced to Cowboy Action shooting by an old friend Gary Tryon who has since passed and this was in 1987. I then joined SASS in Feb 1988.
My first SASS Cowboy Action Match was at Cow Town, Arizona in 1989. Took me some time to get going as I had to borrow a Rifle and shotgun from some friends. Only had Modern and Traditional category's back then. I used my old Ruger Blackhawk 3 screw. Wife shoots it now.
Those were good times and lots of memories. Still shooting and still enjoying this activity and meeting old and new friends.

Yep great and fantastic shoot that San Juan puts on. Been there early ninety's couple times. Was there just two years ago when Cobra Kat put shoot on there. (1st time there was 1997)
Everything about the shoot plus Montrose is out standing. Ride the widow maker down the rails, throw stick dynamite into the can and Yeeeh, Haa.
Get a chance go there you won't regret it. Contact Kodiak Kid (970) 417-6247 or kodiak35294@yahoo.com probably have another Siege at San Juan City for 2017 ????
