Something I dislike about that movie is when they shake hands. Amelia and Guns.
Do they say pact - we have reached an agreement?
Or do they say pax - peace, we will not argue anymore?
It seems like it should be pax, but sometimes it seems like I can hear a T.
Did y'all know that Leilani played Andy Devine's daughter in Liberty Valance? Bit part. She was one of the students in Lance Stoddard's school.

Many years back. Was reading an article written in the late 1800s. The man said that the Blackfeet Indians of this one Village (interesting. otto does not think I should capitalize blackfeet, but Village should be) would every morning get up and go bathe in the river. Winter or summer, did not matter. Every day. And he had seen them, naked to the waist, blood up to their elbows, cleaning game, when it was so cold he could not stand to take his mitts off.
I guess it's what you're used to.

I think AI got in there a little bit.
Look at Zeppo's nose. The shape of his nose going up into the eye sockets. That is not human. He looks like he's wearing science fiction alien makeup.
Look at Groucho's eyes.
Harpo's face looks like Harpo, but look at his ears.
Chico's ears are also funny, although not as bad as Harpo's. But the shadow along the jawline on the right side of his face. It looks like somebody glued a picture of his face on somebody else's head.

I was thinking that he used Hunter as a test case.
He not only pardoned the Hunter for the crimes he was convicted of, but every other crime he might have committed for the last 10 years.
And nobody stepped up and said, "now wait just a dang minute there boy!"
So if he got away with it once, he figured he could get away with it again.

According to the link, there were no charges. The police did not charge the store employees with assault.
But I bet they got fired. Because that is 7-Eleven corporate policy. "Let them have it. That is why we have insurance." If you resist a robbery, 7-Eleven will fire your butt.

Now first, most people believe that racist is bad. You think that people of that race are lazy, and people of that race are stupid, and people of that race over there are all thieves.
But in reality, all racist is is thinking that somebody is THAT WAY because of their race. Doesn't necessarily have to be bad. Saying that Japanese kids are better at math is racist, because you're implying that they are not better because they study more but simply because they are Japanese. That's racist.
I just got back from taking the dog for a walk. It's 47°. And I know a lot of you were thinking hey summertime, but down here that's cold. I'm wearing long pants, a long sleeve shirt, a sherpa vest, a thermal jacket, and a hat. And I have gotten about a quarter of the way through our walk and I was wishing I had on gloves because my hands was awful dang cold.
So my racist thought.
I wondered if black people could withstand the cold better because their darker skin absorbs more heat from the sun.
I get about halfway around the block - only went around one block. It was a long block but still it was just one - and I see this lady come out of the house. Black lady. She's wearing shorts and a short sleeve shirt. No coat, no hat. She just went down and got in her car, but still, shorts, short sleeve shirt, no coat no hat.
Maybe another third of the way around and I come upon this little girl riding a bicycle. She's five or six years old. Black girl. She's wearing shorts, flip-flops, and a sleeveless shirt. Not just short sleeve -sleeveless.
The dog's got a fur coat so she's okay. I'm bundled up and am freezing to death. I see two other people on my walk - both white. And both wearing lots of clothing.
And I see two black people that are dressed for the middle of June instead of the middle of January. Just made me wonder.

You ever find yourself looking at something and trying to figure out what it is, and then when you do realize what it is you feel just so dang stupid?
While he was talking to the aunts, there was this white spot on the right side of his head. When I first saw it I thought it was a speck of dust on my screen, but as I reached out to wipe it off I noticed that it moved with his head, so it wasn't on my device it was on the video. Then I wondered if it was light reflecting off the greasy kids stuff. And I kept wondering - what in the heck is that white?
And then about the time the two sisters went into the kitchen I realized that it was a piece of rice stuck to the greasy kids stuff.
Just feel so dumb sometimes.

That is about the stupidest damn reason I've ever heard of for buying something. They are going to outlaw ARs? I don't care. I don't want an AR. So I don't care whether they're legal or not. Certainly don't care enough to go buy one.

I read about a young man. His parents were missionaries, he was born somewhere in Africa. When he was a teenager they came back to the States. He's in college and he sees they got some kind of scholarship for African Americans. He applied.
His grades and everything else was right up there. The only thing left was the personal interview. So he shows up.
Black woman asked if she could help him. He said he was there for the African-American scholarship interview. She told him that he was not African-American. He was white. She was African-American.
He asked her what part of Africa she was from. She said she'd never been to Africa. So he said he suppose that meant her parents were African? No, her parents had never been to Africa either. But he wasn't African-American. He was white.
I think he ended up going to court. He got the scholarship.
"You can't be African-American! You're white!!!!"
They had a Disney movie, years ago. I believe it was called The color of friendship. Something like that anyway. This black family was going to take an exchange student from Africa. Got a little blonde-haired blue-eyed girl from Cape Town. Oops.
"Something's wrong here. We wanted an African girl."
Yeah.

If the Thais and the Laotians and the Cambodians don't, I would be very surprised.
As to your Asian thing. Asia is the largest continent in the world. Half of Russia is in Asia. All those white people living there are Asian. India and Pakistan are in Asia. All those Hindu types in the subcontinent are Asian. Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Israel are in Asia. All of those semites are Asian.
But ain't one single one of them Oriental. Oriental is a race. Asian is a location.
If you were describing Denzel Washington and Donald Trump to people that had never seen them, would you just say they were both Americans? Or would you say that that one is black and that one is white?

You tell her that she's a 10 and she's going to get severely pissed. Because in the Orient the best is number one. So on a scale of 1 to 10 the gorgeous girl is a 1, not a 10.
