The 33 and 45-70 have the same rim diameter. I make cases for my 33 WCF from 45-70 and they work fine. Only issue i would think that might need fitting between 33 and 45-70 made receivers might be in the cartridge guides. Just a side note i know it doesn't meet sass rules but you might want to try the 33 as is. It's a pretty good cartridge hits pretty hard (works good on deer and elk) with not much bullet drop but is pretty mild for recoil. Hope this helps.
