  3. SOLD This is a used (aren't they all) .54 Garrett Arms Model 1863 SRC. Finish shows some wear, but is probably a 90% gun. Barrel bluing shows muzzle wear. There are a couple of small nicks behind front sight, possibly from installing higher sight blade (?). Bore is very good. Tight action with hardened storage grease. The .54 bore is excellent. Stock would rate Good Plus, with a few minor bumps and bruises. Some should steam out. Has intact Lawrence Primer system. A scarce and sought-after carbine for NSSA members and other Civil War weapons enthusiasts. $1375 + Shipping.

  4. SOLD This is a used and slightly modified Pedersoli Kodiak Express .50. It is in overall very good condition. Bores in 29" barrels are bright and shiny with sharp rifling. Wood and metal generally retain most factory finishes, with exception of breech end of barrels which exhibit finish loss. The extreme breech end of top rib has been peened down, possibly to accomodate rear of a scope once mounted? Does not affect function. Stock has minimal handling marks. The original three leaf rear sight has been replaced with a more practical hunting sight. The Pedersoli website says this model should have a twist of 1:24, but these barrels are more like 1:66 (not quite half a turn in 27"). LOP is 14.25/13.25, front to back. Gun weighs about 11 lbs. Good, solid gun much lower price of current models. $900 + Shipping.

  5. OK. The customization is minimal. Previous owner stripped all finish off wood and barrel. The 1:66 twist barrel was given an aged browning finish. The stock was given a darker finish and no factory shine. The best part is the addition of a pineapple patchbox! The negatives. Someone overtightened the lock screw or dropped rifle and a crack formed through the lock screw up to barrel channel. The crack was too tight to separate and squirt in glue, so I drilled three small holes from inside and forced some epoxy into crack. Then, I put two steel pins through top in front of screw and one from the bottom behind the screw. Crack isn't going to fail. I tested with three 80 gr FFG loads behind Buffalo Bullets. See photo of 25 yard off hand group. $375 + Shipping.

  6. Sold This is one of the Investarms Hawken Sporters that Cabelas and other outlets sells. It is .54. Its 29" barrel has a Good Plus bore. Bright and sharp with a few minor spots of pitting. Should lap out with shooting. The barrel has some finish loss and scrapes along edges. Checkered stock with rubber recoil pad is in very good condition. It has a Bushnell Sportview scope on Weaver mounts, as well as its factory sights. Nice, hard hitting hunting rifle. $300 + Shipping.
