The Ides of March marks the start of the camping/shooting season. It's been a long Winter.

An ice pick will go right through kevlar body armor, as long as they miss the ballistic plate.

Howdy Sarcasm. I have heard good things about the new Ruger/Marlin 1894 rifles however, I have not put my hands on one yet. Longhunter will make that rifle much more enjoyable to shoot. I wouldn't wait too long. It'll just lead to unnecessary bruised knuckles.
.38 special will work just fine in that rifle. I load the 125 gr flat point truncated bullet for both pistol and rifle. I use 3.0 gr of Titegroup and it works well with any Texas Star or knockdown target I come across. Clean Shot powder will also work just fine. .38 specials are a little shorter than .357. That is the reason for the difference in rifle capacity. You will want the rifle to hold 10 rounds, since that is the normal stage round count.
Your profile shows you are in Georgia. There's a new bullet seller in town. The Cast Bullet Shop. Pops Corbin and Co have bought Outlaw Bullets equipment and moved it to North Georgia. Reasonable prices on bullets and good folks to deal with. thecastbulletshop.com

I never anneal straight wall pistol brass. Annealing is for bottlenecked rifle cartridges.

I retired about 8 years ago and DNA technology was really taking off at that time. A number of research facilities were working on facial construction based on DNA traits. In other words, they could sort of develop a picture of your face, including eye color, hair color, skin tone etc. They could then plug all this information into a computer and produce age specific images. The cold case detectives had this done on several unidentified bodies we had recovered over the years.
Police have been solving cold cases off of public DNA data bases by matching to close relatives. They then research the family tree and develop a suspect. Fascinating stuff. Between DNA matching and cell phone data, nobody does really investigating anymore.

YYY, Capt BB, what do you mean?
Does this mean we can't be friend anymore?
Do you really think TW is gonna show up at the TN State as a Huckleberry?
And worse than that...... do you think a Southern Gentleman would stoop so low as to conspire with him?
Never. Well, almost never.

The Southeast seems to be stealing a lot of car manufacturing and firearms manufacturing from the big union states.
Georgia as a state is very firearms and business friendly. Just stay out of Atlanta and you will be fine. That bunch in Atlanta has been out of control for years, but the rest of the state watches them pretty carefully.

Why do I feel I'm being set up? All this talk about TW's handicaps makes me suspicious....
He probably had some of those Widder Humming Bird thumbs installed. All this talk about tendons is just misdirection.

Prayers up for Schoolmarm's recovery. Get well soon and I hope to see both of you at Kentucky State.

You may have some tight primer pockets. This gauge will identify the problem cases. I used one to check .223 brass for swaged primer pockets.

I'm not a pilot but I suspect that the landing fees as some place like Atlanta would be pretty expensive. Better choose your international airport carefully.

I save up the small pistol primer 45 acp brass. After a couple of years, I load up what I have collected and shoot them at a Wild Bunch match where I get very little pistol brass back. Common firing lines, shooting through windows etc.

That could mean different things these days. Coming out of the closet?

We had a case where an officer shot a female and the bullet passed through the female suspect and also killed her mother who was standing behind her. The mother was part of the domestic dispute but not the intended target. The officer was using department issued Hornady Critical Defense 9mm.

As soon as she takes a bite of that wedding cake, she'll gain 40 lbs and that dress will never fit again anyway.

Taylor Swift flew in her personal jet from Japan to Las Vegas to see her boyfriend play in the Super Bowl. Then she hopped back on the jet and flew to Australia for her next concert. I don't want to hear any environmental tree hugging carbon credit trash come out of her mouth.

Even given this, one wonders why he said he was hit, when he wasn't!
Adrenalin and panic really play tricks on a weak mind.

I guess it all depends on how bad the U.S. wants you. The U.S. military went into Panama and arrested Noriega, transported him to the U.S., tried him in a U.S. court and he's still sitting in a U.S. Federal prison in Miami.

I'm not making excuses for this goober. He should find another occupation. However, in his defense, the police academy and training units do everything they can to wind up officers with the officer survival mindset. It's a constant barrage of, this is how this officer got killed because they got sloppy or used poor officer survival tactics. It a challenge to get the officers to think clearly and calmly when in high stress situations and maintain the ability to evaluate threats correctly and act within policy. Obviously, this officer failed at this.

Oppps. Forgot about the internal locks. Totally worthless attempt to placate lawyers. I have a pair of 510's with the internal locks that have functioned flawlessly for 19 years.

I am not aware of any changes Ruger has made to the New Model Vaquero since it was introduced in 2004. They are all durable. Either one of those will last a lifetime and be exactly like the rest of them.

A lot of us stay at the Sale of Champions RV park. The sites are full hookup including sewer. It's a fenced in field at a horse show facility. Last year, the Cowboys had the whole place to themselves. Big grass field with RV hookups around the outside perimeter. It's about 10-15 minutes from the range.
