I notice some pers are TG for multiple clubs.

Next round of votes PWB I expect to see some more randomness in your voting, lets see what chaos you can cause voting no for one club and yes for another:P

Well if that's how a particular club wants you to vote, then it could be that a TG of two or more clubs, the votes could be different. No big deal or chaos as you put it about it.?

  2. I've got Slicks, phantom trigger installed in my 1895 and have installed them in other 1894 s too.

I've never had a problem with them and they work fine.

Widow maker has the right explanation and for a Marlins to have an out of battery discharge is almost impossible.

  3. Happy birthday SASS, been 20 years for me, best thing that ever happened to me.

Without starting this game I would never have met my the only girl I love, I am truly blessed.

Not to mention the hundreds of friends we've made across the world, and the unknown number of miles we've travelled!!

Hopefully I can make another 20 years.

Maybe there'll be a Centurion category soon? LOL:

  4. Get the part numbers you want from the Dillonwebsite and phone them, they'll send you the parts for free and some, or lemme know what you want and I'll get em for you.

  5. Why I want to join... I have always loved the old west and the guns and just st discovered the sport. I have just recently started a new venture in my life (Divorce) and starting my new life, I have the freedom to do what I want for once. I am truly a new person. Just waiting on payday to join.

You have no idea how much fun you're going to have by playing this game.

    Welcome pardner.

  6. Yes, well that's the way I understand it to be, it has to go back in the holster unless otherwise directed, and in most cases I've come across you only have to say " make safe" . The directions do not have to specifically say restatge on table or prop etc.Make safe can also mean you return it to the holster, .....or place it down on a proposal with barrel down range.

    Is that correct?

And as you say Griff, split pistols the string is 5 and pistol, pistol its 10.

In writing the stage you cannot leave out a direction if you want the shooter or want to give him the option of leaving it unholstered somewhere. No directive then it goes back to leather or you get the penalty.?

I just opened up a new box of powder coated CAS bullets and found that they looked like crap.

Many had voids and unfilled noses, bases, etc. I guess the vendor thought that the powder coat would cover up the sin.

These bullets are so bad that I culled them and I will probably not even use them for practice.

Has anyone else run into this?

    Mustang

Where were they from and what coating process does the company have?

  9. I reiterate, shouldn't have to tell them to make safe. Shooter has two choices. Either to make it safe or unsafe. If a shooter doesn't already know to make it safe, they need to learn.......

Not quite right Boggus, yes we all know how to make safe, but the rules state pistols must be holstered at the end of the shooting string. The string is 10 shots even if it's split, so if you ground the first pistol and their are no instructions to do so like make safe then yes you will cop a penalty.

Trouble is today there are not many spilt pistol stages cause gunfighters don't like em. LOL

  10. Take your point on the style of match there Frank, but still think 6 challenging stages can be shot in a day. Maybe if could be only 10 stages, 5 per day?

Last year stages were finished by lunch time, so another two could easily be fitted in.

As for the two days in between, well yes I agree maybe that could be cut down to one, but there is a lot of other side events & other things happening on those days too. And then there are two warm up days, only one at WR, with more shooters.!

Some shooters shoot in ALL warm up matches, on both days! Kudos to them, but......

And by the way, I'm not complaining, just trying to see what other shooters and potential new EOT shooters think.!........as per Lead Foots post.

If WB did move to Monday and Tuesday and the WB side matches be Scheduled alongside other side matches on those other two in between days, then you don't have WB side matches on the WB match day.

Could the BAM match be run the same time thereabouts as long range? Or after one of the WB main match days if time.

There seems to be some scope to maybe compress the event without too much change, and am pretty certain EOT would attract more entries overall.

Just the view from my wagon. :) :)

  11. With this match only attracting something like 80 shooters, is it really necessary to have it spread out over 3 days plus a warm up day?

If EOT started on the Monday there is 4 days of cost savings, especially for those who have to motel it, that's approx $800.00 ??

This could easily be shot in 2 days like WR and still have plenty of time for WB side matches.

And this could be an attraction to attract more WB shooters travelling from afar,.....any thoughts out there?

  12. No one is forcing you to modify your gun and there is no penalty if your gun just holds 5, but if you want to be competitive I would suggest making your gun hold 6. You don't hear Wild Bunch shooters whining about a 1911 that will 7 to 8 rounds, yet we only load 5. Get out your hacksaw, saw off the barrel to 20 inches, buy a 6 round spring kit and get on with it...................

    +1.

And with that I thinking this thread Is dead.LOL

  13. Boggus, thanks for the info. Still looking at buying one for wild bunch shooting. But not wanting to pay a price out of range of its worth. The store owner is asking $725.00. That seems a little high for a Para. Even if it is a limited edition. What do you think? Thanks in advance, Will.

PS, hope to see you again at Winter Range this year.

Will I've got one of those Paras. It's a safe queen really, has a lightened trigger and a $150.00 action job done on it.

It's all black with black grips with dot sights, great gun in near new condition, doubt if it's had 600 rounds through it.

I'm looking for $695.00 will bringing to WR.

First I'll take it gets it.
