I load about 10k rounds a year of 105's 38cal using 3.0gr of trail boss for the last 10 years I think.   using Dillon 650.   It's so consistent, that I no long have a powder check and have never had a squib failure due to lack of powder.

It is temp. sensitive in cold weather I have found (maybe freezing and below) , but rarely ever shoot when it's that cold anymore.

Something is not right with the setup or dispenser.

Agree, I've used it, (when we could get it) ever since it came out. 2.9 grains with a 125 bullet for pistol and same charge for rifle but a 158 TC bullet.

Never ever had an issue, have never used a powder check thing. I'd say you got a problem with your loader. It's not the powder.

I'm wondering what my options are for gun carts. I used to have a Cartright cart, but of course they're out of business. I also used a Rugged Gear cart, but I'd prefer a 2-wheeled cart (like the Cartright) rather than a 3-wheel (like Rugged Gear). I have neither the tools nor the skills to make one from plans. So who is making such carts any more? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Something like this.

    Hey Jakaroo

Thanks for that Wonderfull pick of the map and badges!  Hope your recovery is going well.  I made the latest map from this site Create your own Custom Map | MapChart you can go there and make a map of the Adventures of Jack and Kat.  Making states you drove to in one color and the states you flew to in another color.

That site also has other maps beyond the US to make maps of so you and the other Aussies can make and show us a map of where you have shot Down Under.  Folks from Canada and Europe can do the same as well as those that have traveled beyond their home country.  It would be kind of cool to see some of those maps.

    Scout

Thanks for that Cowtown, I'll have a go.:D

Yep worked fine, OP updated. Thank you,

But I don't know to get that map up, if I can get a link I'll put 'em up.

In the mean time here is a road map. Over 100000kms

Not bad for a couple of Aussies.:D

Just busy making a frame for it, we saved most of our shoot badges for the surrounds but couldn't get them all on.

Black are road trips, red are flying trips.

So those on the map plus New Zealand.:D

  5. I've got Slicks, phantom trigger installed in my 1895 and have installed them in other 1894 s too.

I've never had a problem with them and they work fine.

Widow maker has the right explanation and for a Marlins to have an out of battery discharge is almost impossible.

  6. Happy birthday SASS, been 20 years for me, best thing that ever happened to me.

Without starting this game I would never have met my the only girl I love, I am truly blessed.

Not to mention the hundreds of friends we've made across the world, and the unknown number of miles we've travelled!!

Hopefully I can make another 20 years.

Maybe there'll be a Centurion category soon? LOL:

  7. Get the part numbers you want from the Dillonwebsite and phone them, they'll send you the parts for free and some, or lemme know what you want and I'll get em for you.

  8. Why I want to join... I have always loved the old west and the guns and just st discovered the sport. I have just recently started a new venture in my life (Divorce) and starting my new life, I have the freedom to do what I want for once. I am truly a new person. Just waiting on payday to join.

You have no idea how much fun you're going to have by playing this game.

    Welcome pardner.

  9. Yes, well that's the way I understand it to be, it has to go back in the holster unless otherwise directed, and in most cases I've come across you only have to say " make safe" . The directions do not have to specifically say restatge on table or prop etc.Make safe can also mean you return it to the holster, .....or place it down on a proposal with barrel down range.

    Is that correct?

And as you say Griff, split pistols the string is 5 and pistol, pistol its 10.

In writing the stage you cannot leave out a direction if you want the shooter or want to give him the option of leaving it unholstered somewhere. No directive then it goes back to leather or you get the penalty.?

I just opened up a new box of powder coated CAS bullets and found that they looked like crap.

Many had voids and unfilled noses, bases, etc. I guess the vendor thought that the powder coat would cover up the sin.

These bullets are so bad that I culled them and I will probably not even use them for practice.

Has anyone else run into this?

    Mustang

Where were they from and what coating process does the company have?
