  1. I am not sure why you will not email me regarding this sale. I have purchased a gun or two from this forum. Usually the seller and buyer exchange emails to obtain buyers info and FFL and sellers info for who and where to send payment. When payment is received gun is shipped.

We are hung up in the first phase, you will not email me. I have provided my email to you as a p.m. and in this forum. It appears that I want the 87 more than you want to sell it. However, if you will email me at outlawgambler@gmail.com we can still complete the sale.

  2. I use the Orange Citrus stripping gel. Has a pleasant odor, doesn't harm your skin, comes off with water. From my experience with old Winchester stocks, the wood only raises very slightly. Don't know if it will be the same on your stock but it is something you can use indoors year round. Can pick it up at almost any hardware or home improvement store.

  3. Larson, there are parts for the lightning rifles. Eldon Penner sells them and as of my last conversation he is still making parts. I know for a fact that in addition to original Lighting rifles he makes parts for the AWA as I have purchased some from him. Before he retired from gunsmith work, and went into parts only, he was an excellent, and probably the best Lightning gunsmith in the business.

So if anyone needs parts, contact him. You can find his alais here in the web site, it is El Rod.

  4. I am looking for a couple of concho's. I would like to find a number 2 and the letter P. One half inch or three quarter inch tall with chicago screw style attachments. Silver or Gold color. If you have them or have any idea as to where I can find them I would appreciate it. Thanks, OG

  5. Sounds like you may not have got the mag tube all the way into the receiver when you put it back together again. Try putting it back on again and start with the mag tube in the correct position. There is a small tab/stop on the mag tube's muzzle end. This tab should be positioned at 3 o'clock. Now slide the action slide into the carrier. The mag tube should follow and you need to be sure that it is in all the way. About 2" will get the threads into the receiver. Turn the lock pin and that tab/stop should now be at 12 o'clock. Sometimes it is easy to not get the threads all the way into the receiver to lock the tube in place.

  6. To be legal, a buck must have tines that measure 3"..Otherwise it is considered a doe and must be tagged as a doe. This year I received, at no additional cost, three doe permits along with my buck permit. I live and hunt in an area 30 miles west of Green Bay and there evidently are way too many doe if the know it all DNR is issuing 3 doe permits.
