  1. Hi Folks:

An old CAS pard is getting up there & retiring from shooting.

    He lives in Pittsburg

He asked me about where/how to go about selling some of his stuff.

Most of the stuff I know about.

But he has a 16 gauge Spolar shotshell press -- I had never heard that name until yesterday.

Anyway, if anyone can suggest a good place to list it, or anything that helps me figure out how to sell it, please PM me.

    I appreciate it.

  2. Sold--THANKS

    Good Afternoon Folks:
End of an era here.  I've been shooting cap guns for over 40 years now.  But, the arthritis in my hands has gotten so bad, that I've moved to shooting 38s.  While I'm still shooting duelist and black powder, my fingers don't work well enough to shoot cap guns any more.  So………….

I have for sale another pair of Ruger Old Army Revolvers -- These are 3-1/2 inch Snubbies
Description & pictures: (more pictures available on request -- Please send me your e-mail address)

--Two Blued "Antiqued" 3-1/2-inch Ruger Old Army revolvers.
I have owned and used these for several years, and they have always been very good for me.
These were purchased from the widow of a shooter from Florida.
They started life as 5-1/2 inch ROAs.
He "antiqued" them to make them look like old & well-used guns.
I had some 5-1/2 inchers, but I love "snubbies", so I sent them to Johnny Meadows, & he cut the barrels to 3-1/2 inches, crowned them, and installed new front sights.

The bores and cylinder charge holes are in good condition

The original Ruger nipples have been replaced by Treso nipples (Slix/Rugers are good, but Tresos are better IMHO)

The cylinder pins are from Belt Mountain--standard BM pins captured by a screw on the frame.

The grip frames are Ruger aluminum alloy (I think they are old Blackhawk frames).

One is a shiny plated gripframe, and the other is the Ruger Blue/Black.

These were done for lightness of the gun.  Between cutting the barrel, replacing the cylinder pin with a BM pin, and replacing the heavy steel gripframe, the overall weight of the gun was reduced significantly.  These are pleasant to shoot.

The grips are Eagle #31 Imitation Ivory grips.

    $1000 each for the guns
I can mail to you where legal for $30

Shipping will be USPS Priority Mail, fully insured.
Be sure you know your state's gun laws

Certified Bank Check for $2030 please

PM with questions, & send email address if you want more pictures (& what you want to see better)
    Thanks for looking

  3. Sold -- THANKS

    Good Evening Folks:

End of an era here.  I've been shooting cap guns for over 40 years now.  But, the arthritis in my hands has gotten so bad, that I've moved to shooting 38s.  While I'm still shooting duelist and black powder, my fingers don't work well enough to shoot cap guns any more.  So………….

I have for sale a Ruger Old Army package that starts you off with everything you need except powder.
Description & pictures (more pictures available on request -- Please send me your e-mail address)

--Two Stainless Steel 5-inch Ruger Old Army revolvers.
I have owned and used these for several years, and they have always been very good for me.
These were built by Larsen E. Pettifogger.
They started life as 7-1/2 inch ROAs.
He cut the barrels to 5 inches, crowned them, and installed brass front sights.
These were later pinned to the barrels by a local gunsmith.
The original Ruger nipples have been replaced by Slix or Treso nipples, but Ruger nipples will be included with the guns.
The cylinder pins are from Belt Mountain.
Right now, the cylinder pins are standard Belt Mountain, captured by a screw.  However, I can change them to the Belt Mountain quick-change pins if you prefer -- Just let me know.

If I remember correctly, the installed springs are 17 pounds
The grips are Eagle Checkered Gunfighter grips.  Factory wood grips are included
They come with 12 extra Ruger nipples, a set of 19-pound hammer springs, and the springs that came in the gun (I don't know their poundage)

--Two Stainless Steel 45 caliber conversion cylinders, that have recently had the firing pins & ferules replaced by Howell Old West Conversions.

--500 (5 unopened boxes) of Speer swaged .457 roundballs

--Larsen built an off-the-gun cylinder loader.  It has a powder measure, a loading plunger, and a "dummy" to fill the 6th cylinder charge hole while loading.

--A case of 50 un-opened 100-count tins of Remington #10 percussion caps (for face-to-face sale only). This is 5000 caps!

This is being sold as a package -- I have no interest in breaking the package up, so please don't ask.

I can mail everything but the caps -- The package without the caps is $3500 + actual shipping.
I estimate that shipping will be around $100, for USPS Priority Mail, fully insured.
Shipping will be in two packages.
    Certified Bank Check please

A Face-To-Face transaction includes the caps, and is $4100
    Cash only please.

  8. Good Evening Woodfox:

If there are 6 SG targets, BEFORE you shoot the first one, load a 6th cartridge, close the loading gate & start shooting.

If there are more than 6 SG targets, you can either load the extras on the clock, or bring a second shotgun-pistol, load te proper number of cartridges, and stage them both.

Happy to have you join Lifer & I at Sandusky!
