[Jedi Gunfighter Belt Buckles?]

The next batch of pins will be our 5th order.   YES, we are up to 500 in pins.   There are only 330 plus JEDI's,

but many have collected numerous pins.   And each pin has been the same design, BUT... a different

color.

 

1st gen:     White & Black w/gold cross pistols 

2nd gen:   Black w/gold cross pistols

3rd gen:    Red w/gold cross pistols

4th gen:    Black & Red w/gold and black cross pistols

 

I think the next batch will be 'Petty'  blue with silver cross pistols.

[Relaxed summer heat dress code?]

Our club did a vote last year and the results were to abide by SASS rules as they pertain to costuming.  This has caused some grumbling, and a couple of shooters have refrained from shooting during the hot weather.  The majority still show up and shoot in SASS approved costuming.

I have a full basement.  My washer is on the main floor, upstairs.  Downstairs is our "safe room".  Safe from tornados and where my gun safes are.  Also downstairs is my reloading room, storage for my wood working and mechanic's tools, the wife's workout room, and storage for my Harley, a lawn mower and a 4 wheeler.

I've pissed a few fellow officers off over the years by refusing to take custody of a prisoner without searching the prisoner myself.  Hate it.  But they ain't getting in my car without being searched by me, and handcuffed with my cuffs.

Unload and make it safe.  Carry in rear waistband until it could be secured in the trunk of the patrol car.  Secure the prisoner "downtown" in a cell, then bring the gun in from the car, tag it, log it in to the evidence log and secure it.

I ain't shy.  I have used a pocket knife to cut up steaks and chops for many a year.  Currently, it's an Ontario Knife OKC Rat II.  Dang thing is awesome.

Love some cukes, but like them best sliced thin and put in water, apple cider vinegar, sugar and salt, along with some sliced thin onions.  Best to allow them to soak at least 24 hours.  Mighty tasty side dish that way.

I turned in my application for Social Security retirement at the end of June, to start in August.  Will keep working until July 2024.  Gonna use the SS check to pay off a couple of bills between now and then, so I won't have them to deal with when I pull the pin.

One of my police officers wrote up a 2007 Chevy Impala for the right front turn signal not working.  I checked, and sure enough, it wasn't working.  Rear right signal worked fine. Checked the bulb, it was good.  Checked the wiring, no issues.  After a few days, I traced it back to the fuse block.  There, I found the officer had taken the fuse out of the panel that controlled the interior light, rather than just switching it off at the interior light.  Guess what else that fuse powered?  Yep, the right front turn signal.

Mine threw the loaded round off the carrier and out of the gun before the round could be loaded into the chamber.  If it stayed on the carrier, it would feed, but the action of the carrier raising from the magazine tube would throw shorter rounds out of the gun before they made it to the chamber.

The two I had would throw 38s over my shoulder unless they were loaded over 1.50".  Mine were original non safety versions.  I have a 44-40 version now that is a sweet shooter.

Different loading system, Rye.  The '73 uses an elevator that raises the cartridge up before being loaded into the chamber.  The '92 has a carrier that lifts the rounds at an angle. The OAL length is critical to keep from flipping the rounds out of the top in an 1892.

The two I had were Rossi copies.  Both of them had trouble with 38 special length cartridges, but ran 357 magnum reliably.  Your mileage may vary.  They are apparently still in production.
