At H.O.W. last year, Wyoming State Championship, we got a hand made wood board section with a nicely printed poster on it with the place & category decoupaged on it. I do like buckles but hand made awards show dedication and hard work that is appreciated.

I have had two .32s that were undersized out of about 4K I bought so far.

What ever you use - if it has any metallic parts which come in contact with the powder you are going to need to keep an eye on them. They will corrode over time if not cleaned regularly. Maybe once a month inspection.
-
If a take down SG just pour HOT water thru barrel, then push 1/2 paper towel thru, then bore mop or patch with oil & you're done.
-
Yes - you will need 2 revolvers, a lever action or pump rifle and a pump or lever action or double barrel shotgun.
-
Also - if you can get or have a take down '97 the barrel cleaning process is greatly simplified.

Hey Marie
The heaver the charge, the better the hull will seal & help to limit the crud in the action. If the hulls get "burned" down the outside, they are not sealing the chamber - similar to .45 LC blow-by or blow back when light smokeless charges are used. You need to find a balance between recoil & performance.

Belle is disappointed you won't be here . 1100 miles is 100 miles closer than our regional shoot.
How that sweet lady puts up with the likes of you is a wonderment. Tell her I miss her too. Be seeing y'all at HOW.

45-70 out of a 7 pound rifle...ouch.
I load my H&R with about 30 gr of Pinnacle, filler and a 200 gr cowboy bullet with a couple layers of Alox to fatten it up a bit. Good on 16" plates out to over 75 yds. Runs at about 1100 fps. Sweet load.

I'd be there if it wasn't for the 1100 mile drive ........ have fun !

My last renewal will expire in March. It was a 3 year so that was available in 2014.

Works out to Pi over Theta, but I think there is also some quantity of beer involved .......

Not sure about the Henry. I know the H&Rs are not Cody Dixon legal. Given the very simular design, I'm guessing they would not be legal either, but I'm not the one making those rules.
I didn't find any SASS rules for Cody Dixon & I know of a club here in Tx that allows them so I think it's up to the individual club.

Wasn't there a multi-year discount for paying 3 years at a time at one point ?

I sell the Hi-Tek Super Coat bullets for Cimarron Bullets in Wylie, Tx, he bought a special color called "Gunmetal" for Cowboy bullets and it looks just like a lead bullet but is coated. Sell thousands of that color to local shooters, they really like them, cant tell they are coated, you should try them.
+ about 73
Good bullets, good prices

One has to wonder why they did not make a nice double. Has to be a bigger market for them than a single shot.
The rifle would be about like a H&R Handi rifle. Legal for plainsman, not for Cody Dixon.
The way they are doing with two single barrel long guns they only need to make one receiver for both. Just different barrels. ???

Hey Pards,
What surprised me is that I don't have to resize this new stuff.
I mic'd the new brass, then resized 5 of them and the diameter was identical. So, no resizing was even required or necessary.
..........Widder
I was having a minor bit of trouble with the neck expander die sticking or dragging on the up-stroke(withdrawing) and the wax seemed to help that. Probably some roughness in the neck die.
I totally agree - the best brass I have used. In 12 years I have bought 1 100 rnd bag of WW, all the rest has been *-*line.

Binary firing system. Apparently it's been done on ARs for a while. Gawd Awful sent me this video link a month or so ago.
The number of lethal "whoops" events possible is more than you can count.
"What could POSSIBLY go wrong!?!" :o
I could just about afford to buy it but feeding it would be like having two teenage sons ....... :o

Yep. I throw a little case lube on them and go!
+1
I dry media tumble all new brass with a little turtle wax. It seems to provide just enough lube for initial resizing & neck expansion.
Keeping shiny brass shiny?

After you clean brass in wet tumbler.
Dry tumble with a little brass polish, case cleaner, car wax, etc. About 10 minutes should be enough. I put my brass in well drained but still wet. I store in large size cashew nut plastic jars, Planters, etc. My brass stays shiny for months. Note: my cases are deprimed & I use about 2# of steel shot in with the dry media (Zilla Desert Blend). Been doing it for 10 years.
