  1. Ok I run them in a 66 and in Uberti Cattlemen with 5.5 inch barrels ,,, I open up the action to check for lube and the need for cleaning every couple of years .

    Mostly I just clean the barrel on the 66 spray and wipe-down the lifter and bolt then wipe-down the rest with Ballistol, to tell you the truth Dust is a bigger concern that fouling ...

  2. Remlin ,,, Gremlins is what was mostly made by Remington, So smiths started calling them Remlins.....

    I trust that Ruger will make them up to snuff and we can go back to calling them Marlins.

    No mention of pay scale but the job sounds intriguing ( short time only ) for this old Smith ....

    Too far away to really consider and I need another job like a hole in the head ...

  3. CLK;

    Pard, yes it is Hard to watch your loved one's health fail.

    And even though this is hard, you are not alone and you have the good times to remember.

    On Jan.29 of this year my wife said the hardest part of almost loosing Me was Having to go home because of COVID, and not knowing if She would ever see me again as they sent me off to Calgary and she had to go home and isolate.

    We will be praying for you both, God Bless  Walter

  4. Sure is miles better looking than you :P

    I will keep her and you in my prayers , if you would like to tell me her day and month of birth , I would add her to mine and the Bosses Prayer list ... Each month we pray for the people having Birthdays in that month each day, so added to prayer for spoken needs , they get a full month before the Lord ... You are welcome to do the same ...

  5. I have a Model 70 in .300 WSM it has the Mauser type claw extractor not the push feed .  It will feed empty cases from the magazine straight into the chamber with-out a hitch .... Yes I know guns do not need to be able to smoothly cycle empty cases to hunt, but it gives me an extra level of confidence especially with guns in larger calibers that could be used on dangerous game like my .375 Ruger....

    And even the .300 WSM that might be used on a Grizz ...

    Most of my bolt guns are of the controlled round feeding type ... even my .204 Ruger.
