Driving home last night, and what should appear ,,,, A bull Moose ..

He was crossing the road on the run and up out of the center meraidian he did appear , I swerved to the right and he missed me ....

I missed him by less than 3 feet after having moved suddenly 6 feet to the right ...

He continued across the road ....

This between Calgary and Cayley on the #2 4 lane Highway out in the middle of the prarries all covered in Snow ...

My favorite Shovel is attached to my TN 75A New Holland Tractor ....

It is 75 inches wide .....

The Knee is getting some better, swelling is going down , now the bruising is more visible ....

I need to rest it , like the Doc. Said to ....

I hope it will heal up Ok ...

Lot's of Cougars here,,,,,,, and not all of thems have 4 legs ....

The whole of South-Eastern Alberta has been opened up to a general season 4 months long ...

This is Grass-lands country that until about 20 years ago had almost no Cougars since about 1910 ....

Our two main shoots just west of my place ( 7 Miles ) are July 6 - 8 2018 and August 24-26 , the days before the Canadian Nationals, shoot our shoot travel out and Shoot the Nationals ....

COG ya coming to shoot the Canadian's in Mission B.C. this coming year ?

Allie you really should start planning for your trip to shoot up here in western Canada ...

The Canadian's are planned for the Island for 2019 a Cowboy Range that is Super Neat .  Run by the finest bunch of Folks Ya could ever hope to meet ...

But come 2 or 3 weeks before that , and you cab can Shoot in Sask. Alberta and B. C.

You will need plenty of ammo ....  If Ya need more , we can reload here at my place got a guest room that you and hubby can use ...  Or the Tin Wagons can set-up in the Yard ....

Bought mine at Canadian Tire when they were clearing them in the Spring about 10 years ago, for 49 dollars including Tax ...

Last May they were clearing them for 49 dollars plus Tax ....

This old cripple went out this morning and Filled my Mulie Doe tag , got her skinned and hanging ....

Now I'm resting,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Didn't have to drag her more than 90 yards ....

Knee is getting better ,,,,,,,,,,,,, I think right now I ain't real sure ...

Says it might be a little slow to heal ,,,, several months ....
