Truly sad news, our hearts go out to her family. She will be missed by all who knew her. I agree with Cholla, BorderTown will not be the same.

Hoss, it will be good to see you and Bad Ash again, not so much the old man but heck you cant win them all. As they say in the old west, you can pick your friends but you are stuck with family.

Blackwater what the heck is "Wasn’t displeased?" That is almost a double negative. You take care of yourself and I look forward to seeing you in Kentucky even if it is just a day.
On that subject…the weather is looking like it may be a good one. Yard Sale on Thursday with some guns on the table I am sure. Plenty of items everyone needs. Shoot-offs, both Man on Man and team events. Maybe a little foolishness, good music. What have I forgotten? Oh, I remember, there is also a two day 10 stage State shoot.
Come see us once and you will become a regular at Pondarosa Pines

I may not remember my fourth match but I do remember that feeling. Keep at it, it only gets better.

Lets make that RO class on Thursday a RO I Class, If you are interested in RO II let me know and I will set something up. I would also be willing to teach a class on Wednesday if there is enough interest. I will be there so if that would help on side match day let me know that also.

That explains why they were digging that pit where you and Pinky camp. I am sure they will have it filled in by next week. Barn needs cleaning.

I will see what can be done for those of you who cant think outside the box. Obviously Cat got the negative reversed on this picture. Same way Billy the Kid became Left handed.

Another sad announcement, we have lost another great cowboy and friend. Sheriff Lord has passed, Sheriff Lord shot with many clubs in the South East, had been in Washington State for the last few years. He was a proud veteran and loved the Cowboy game. We will miss him and our hearts and prayers go out to Sassy Motchie and family.

Lighting McCoy, This is also one of our partners from the Oak Ridge Outlaws and Smoky Mountain Shootist Society and the Ocoee Rangers. He was the voice of SMSO for many years on awards night. Hard worker, incredibly pleasant to be around. The expression "He would give you the shirt off of his back on a cold day" fits him to a T. A true Classic Cowboy.

Thank you, I will take this opportunity to post the first one.
We lost Preacher Red in early December of 2020 (the year from hell) He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and friend. He was very instrumental in making the Smoky Mountain Shoot Out a success. If you ever attended one of our shoots he was the one that kept the fire buckets going and you would see him riding around on a green Gator making sure everyone was having a great time. He was always a pleasure to be around, had a kind word for everyone and knew how to tell a story. He shot a Spenser so always had to load 3 rounds on the clock and was known to talk to the TO during his shooting string. His favorite line was "Do I have a P yet" He will be missed by all.

I have two, both run well, the 45 feeds better due to the weight of the bullet. I have been know to stove pipe the 38. Lots of fun to shoot.

Johnny Harlan, it was great shooting with you and Jim Powder. Mighty fine shooting partners. Come back anytime, workers like you two would be welcome anywhere.

The last time if flew which was a few years ago the required method of carrying ammo was either in the clips with clips out of the gun or in the original package. Clips and guns had to be in a locked hard side case. Could be in the same case. This was a non CAS gun of course.
Also, the airports did not have a standard way of handling guns. When I was flying my CAS guns around the country, Our airport did not even look at the guns, I opened the case and they laid a form I had signed saying the guns were unloaded and locked the case back up. At the Dallas airport they took the whole case back away from my sight and checked the guns and then sent the key back out to me. Sometimes my guns were on the convayer, sometimes they were behind the counter and one time they wheeled my guns out last and checked my ID before they would release them to me. (I liked that one best)
I no longer fly if I can help it and love to drive now.

Come on over the East Tennessee, mountains (small by your definition) green, green and more green, plenty of SASS clubs to play in and it hardly ever snows and when it does it goes away in a few days.

Very nice Billy, hope you get to love it, I never developed a good relationship with mine.
I once got a Colt for my first wife, thought it was a good trade.
