My degree say Bachelor of Arts in Geology. I had enough hours to say I had a minor in French and English Literature.

I made a batch of 1# beeswax, 1# mutton tallow and 1/2# vegetable shortening. Had to add 2 cups of olive oil to make it usable.

I don't care what others shoot.
I shoot for my own satisfaction.

I would not use paraffin, as it is o hydrocarbon derivative, which causes fouling when burned with black powder. Paraffin is a by-product in the refining of crude oil.
Mutton tallow? Unsure what it is (refined sheep fat?), but lanolin (also a sheep derivative) might be easier to get.
Cooking paraffin is an acceptable component of a good black powder lube. I'm no petroleum engineer but it has to do with the amount of refinement that a product goes through that determines it's acceptability for black powder.
KR beat me to it.

It looks like maybe your source is better than mine.
I had heard the main stumbling block was the loss of jobs at Cabela's main location in Nebraska.

High on style points, low on speed.

I've used Grafs Reenactor in everything until switching to BlackMZ. Grafts Reenactor is about like cracked corn. I think the BlackMZ puts out as much or more smoke than Reenactor.
For some reason, my loads in rifle, pistol ot shotgun don't put out flame. Maybe need cornmeal filler on top of powder?
A lot depends on humidity and breeze. I use pretty light loads and I often loose the targets in the bank of smoke. I see (in my videos) people behind me backing up and fanning the smoke as it drifts over them.
Most of the subs don't flame. You need to go to real black for the full effect. I shot some Fg Skirmish at a night shoot. My night vision went away on the first shot but the spectators said the burning powder granules were bouncing off of the targets.

I don't think the deal is a done thing yet. We've heard a possibility of Cabela's dragging their feet.

I owned a 99 in 308 for about 4 hours, 35 or so years ago. It was the box magazine model and I bought it new with a box of cartridges from a local sporting goods store.
I took it out to shoot it in. 1st round went close to where I was looking but the gun kicked extremely hard. 2nd round went off that way and the recoil was even worse. The third round is a truly unknown because the gun locked up the point that the lever would not function. I took it back to the store and we messed with it for a while to no avail. Box from gun, marking on the barrel both said Winchester .308 caliber. Ammo box read the same as did the head stamps on the fired cases. They took it back as a trade in on a BLR in 308 in which the ammo from the first episode fired quite nicely.
The gun went back to Savage and although we tried to get information, Savage refused to reply.
Really wanted that gun and have been disappointed for many years about it.
Always wondered if maybe it had had a 250/270/7mm barrel with a 308 chamber?

I've never been inside a cabrlas. I think my wife is afraid if I go in I won't ever come back out. Glad to see that things are looking good.
You should go. Just like a BASS PRO except the Cabela's quality is better.

Occasional drinking is OK.
Sundown is an occasion, isn't it?
Monday works for me. At least today it does.

Don't be surprised if the local gunsmith knows nothing about lever action rifles, especially pistol caliber antique copies('66 and 73).

They make striking quilts as well.

Rules committee or WB one ruled many years ago that they were not legal.

Me, I've been setting on the porch with Miss Lorrie, 8 am Christmas morning at 56 degrees.
Down side. We were looking at the damaged done to our highway fence by a drunken illegal at 2 am this morning. C'mon Mr Trump, put up that wall.

I can't stand bourbons. Have done side by side sampling and IMHO, bourbons are only fit to use as cleaning solvents.
My feelings exactly BUT investigate Basil Hayden. It might change your mind.

I'd put them back in the tumbler and let it run overnight. Won't hurt the brass or the tumbler. I accidently let a load of 38 special tumble over a week end. No damage to machine or brass. they surre were clean though.

Whenever it is convenient for kids. We remember what a chore it was when we had small children trying to get to everyone's house. Miss Lorrie and I vowed that it would not be so when we became grandparents.
One of the kids picks the menu for our gatherings. This year we're having rueben sandwiches.

I have almost completely weaned myself from Pro Sports. NBA and NHL were never a problem so they don't even count. Never watch them. Watched a couple of baseball games last year. I have not seen more than a quarter of any NFL game this year.
Strangely enough, I do not feel deprived at all.
