  1. 2022 movie made in Russia, beautiful voice dubbing, very interesting pre WWII Soviet aircraft, overall very well done.  A very nice period piece.  I watched it in on Prime but it's available other places, too.

    Try it.  You'll like it.

    Well!

If I were taking my time to read all of this carefully it would have taken a few hours.  Skimming through it took nearly and hour and I only found a few items I would want, but very few that I wanted but were listed in huge amounts.  Who among us really could use a pallet load of Hot Pockets, for example?

I figured it cost me much more on lost time thanI could possibly have made by taking advantage of their offer.

I have two pistols that I keep loaded magazines for. My 1911, Bigmouth, that's my EDC, One inserted, one in my back pocket, and two more in a mag pouch on my dresser. Eight rounds in all. The other is a Star Firestar that rides in a lockbox under the driver's seat of my Jeep. One inserted, two more in a mag pouch also in the lockbox. Seven rounds, "full), in all.

I have  9mm Firestar that I carried for years, had it refinished and tuned up three or four years ago, and now carry it my glove compartment all the time,  along with a Bianchi holster and eleven mags loaded with Extreme Defense round.  One in the gun (+ a round in the chamber) and the others in five dual pocket belt pouches.

It's my "last ditch" piece, a standby when all my other handguns are for some reason not available.

  4. I'm still a Pisces and I am so grateful.

It would have cost me a fortune to get new stationary, business cards, public records, jewelry, new tattoos, an engraved tooth, to change all of my historical documents, and to notify every one I know, do business with, and am respected and worshipped by so they could change all of their records, too.

    Whew!  Dodged a bullet again.

My Dad was a college professor.  Someone came to visit and they asked Dad how many students studied there.  Dad answered "about one in a dozen."

If you are not comfortable around my dog, I'll be happy to lock you in the laundry room...

My sister came to visit and complained about my dog.  I told her "the dog lives here.  You don't.  If it bothers you, there's a Hampton Hotel a half mile down the road and I'll tell you where we can go for breakfast."

He husband nearly hurt himself laughing and told me she bitched about his dogs, too.  Said he made her a room of her own where the dogs weren't allowed in.  He called it Nancy's Kennel.

We don't talk much any more.  I'm okay with that.

I keep telling y'all you talk weird.

You need to learn to speak English. :P

We cross-supported some Aussie bomber pilots and their guys in Vietnam.  They said the same thing about us.We both said the same thing about the Wisconsin reserve unit that was activated and sent over, and we all said that about the southerners and east coasters from here.

    Dialects are fun.

    ????  Weird.

Sing song speech patterns drive me crazy.  This guy made and art out of it and I lasted about as Alpo did.

  9. Utah has some dandies. too.  My favorites are Tooele and Tipanogos.

I knew a college professor (originally from New Hampshire but thirty years in Logan) who insisted on calling Tooele "Toolie".  It's tuh Willa.

Want to try Timpanogos?  There's wonderful cave there that's a National Monument and I've heard people who have lived within a few miles of it who still don' know how to say it.

That's how we know whether you're from around here or not!

I was raised in Toppenish (nearly silent e) on the Yakima Indian Reservation. (Also spent some time at Fort Lewis near Tu-COMB -uh  Spanaway was a cinch). We pronounced Yakima "Yak uh MA".  Now I'm told the locals pronounce it "YAK i muh".

I'm constantly annoyed by people who live here and still pronounce our towns Press Cott...especially on things like radio commercials.

Also Prescott has a Courthouse PLAZA!  Folks, it is NOT Courthouse SQUARE!  It's a rectangle!

This very sign is on a wall at Jen's 7th Avenue Cafe in Prescott Valley.

If you're in the area stop by from 6:00am until 2:00.  It's about the best cafe in the entire state, maybe in the whole world.  Watch a great staff at work and get a fantastic meal to boot.

I really wish Winchester would make one of 1895 muskets.

They did a new run of carbines & rifles but no muskets (U.S. or Russian contract) sadly.

I bought one of the rifles in .30 U. S. Krag back when they first brought the repros out.  Mighty fine rifle.

This is obviously not for us gun folks but people especially some women who can’t handle firearms very well this is an alternative. I think it’s better than pepper spray. No recoil and easy to operate!

Might also be a good way to get crippled or killed.  Why risk it?

  14.  I had a close friend in school who bought a Russian 95 and a Krag at the same time for a total cost of about $50.00 including a few dozen clips for the 95 and a few boxes of ammo.  That was about 1961 or so.  I don't think he ever fired the 95 but we hunted mule deer  and elk with the Krag and my sporterized 02A3.  He even got a black bear in Wyoming when I wasn't with him.

He died about 15 years ago and one of his daughters told me that they sold the guns for $1200.00.  I thought that was a low price because both guns were as issued and in 85% condition.  Both had slings and one had a bayonet.
