Had a dumb broad go off on me like that.  I went right back at her, bug eyes, and all.  She kept on screeching and leaned into me so I leaned back and raised the volume and the pace and she took off.  Came back in a few minutes with a half dozen more of her kind....and a local Leo who listened to the story from every one who was there and told her and her friends hey should leave before he found a reason to take THEM in for disturbing the peace.

    It still is.

    I still do.

TV is only for DVDs, the phone is now a digital pocket gizmo, the floor is covered in vinyl, and the pictures on the wall are real guns, but nothing else is changed, added, or taken away.

I don't see how you can get him in it for his second bath though.

Maybe for the first one, but not twice.

And you will be punished severely for the first one.

Did you mean the quote from Bill Mauldin?

It’s often mis-quoted from the original:

I’m beginning to feel like a fugitive from the ‘law of averages’.

That's the source.  It's framed on my wall.  It's sad how few know od Bill Mauldin.

I have a very nice copy of Up Front (a marvelous book) and a nicer copy of Back Home (Not nearly as good).

An the the shirt I saw but don't own.

  6. A new favorite: "I feel like a fugitive from the law of averages".

It sounded familiar so I found one of Bill Mauldin's cartoon guys (Willie/) form his WWII cartoons drawn for Stars and Stripes.  Now it's on a teeshirt so Bill is famous all over again

Patton hated him but Ike told him to leave Mauldin alone because he was good for morale.
