  1. When I first started cowboy shooting I had a Turkish SXS. 20 years ago. Shot it for about a year. Something wore out because when I loaded it and shut it one barrel went off. It was never used again. I bought a Bakail an d then an SKB.

  2. Local shooters tested 10 different 22lR ammo for consistency with a chronograph. The Eley match ammo was the only one who had consistent FPS within a few FPS.

We shoot the 22LR animal silhouettes out to 300 yards.

The Eley tenex ammo is great but.........theres always a but. Its $20/50. Ya get what ya pay for.

  3. I've shot both a .308 and 45-70 at 300 yards. The .308 at 3,000fps is still on a fairly flat trajectory. Providing better accuracy.

The 45-70 is 1,100fps and will not be shooting flat. So elevation variations comeinto play based on the bullet weight and laod.

  4. My YouTube lawyer degree says cops can only enter your home under 3 conditions. 1. They have a warrant to search your home. 2. Exigent Circumstances. They believe a crime is being committed inside or the suspect ran into the house. 3. You invite them in. They can't search unless you let them. Your local milage may vary.

  5. I wasn't planning on going to college. I was graduating HS in June 68. Then the Tet Offensive hit....hard. My dad a WW2 vet said I needed to do whatever to stay out of that war. Our families done enough. Him and his 3 brothers and my mom's 2 brothers all served and came home. I signed up for Junior college Architecture classes. Got my student deferment. Stayed the course with college. Transferring to a University. My lottery number was 272. I dropped my 2S and went 1A. A year latter I got he get out of jail free letter. I went on to graduate, got my license to practice. Spent 44 years doing what I enjoyed. The draft gave me a direction and a career. I don't consider myself a draft dogger. Just a guy who let the system figure out what was going to happen.

  6. The concept behind the airspace not being yours is, then any airplane flying over is violating you private property. Drones are limited to 400' high I believe. No limits on how low. A lot of realtors are now flying drones to do a 360 aerial view of homes for sale.

  7. Ya'll need to read the FAA laws regarding air space and drones.  The air space above your property is not your private air space. Anyone can fly a drone over your property. But if the hover then the local PD can get involved for peeping Tom issues. Shooting a drone is considered a serious crime by the FAA. So risk what you will.

  8. Interesting screening. About 4 years ago I got a jury notice for the Federal court. I was supposed to fill it out and send it back. Reading it 2 things made me ponder. It said if your over 70 check this box and send it back you won't have to serve. I was 71. But Our President, and many of our elected officials in Congress and the Senate are way over 70. Was this an old and grumpy thing or cognitive issues? Then it read if i did not send this back I could be subject to arrest. That really pissed me off.

Me being me I tossed it in the trash. Another one shows up . Tossed it. Another one shows up. Tossed it. I guess they thought I was dead after that. No more showed up.

  9. I don't watch anything involving a ball except the college world series of softball.  Much different than baseball. The larger ball, more surface area, lets them through some crazy movement balls. 65 mph fast ball from 43'. The men hard ball players think they can whack that big ball. And then they get struck out.

  10. We have shot an all shotgun stage. 20 rounds required. Start at normal shooting position and then walking down range shooting targets until you get to the end of the berm. As a Black Powder shooter i bought a leather forearm cover. The barrel gets really, really hot. did i say the barrel gets hot?
