Base Ball Exhibition & Fair at the Philadelphia Navy Yard the weekend of Aug 20 & 21! FREE EVENT! 13 TEAMS! 2 DAYS! Matches commence at 10 AM and conclude around 4:00 PM The PIDC are enthusiastically opening the Navy Yard’s Marine Parade Ground to the Mid-Atlantic Vintage Base Ball League for a two-day Vintage Base Ball Exhibition and Fair the weekend of August 20th and 21st. Thirteen of the League’s seventeen Clubs will be in attendance. http://www.phillyvintagebaseball.org/ My CW reenacting group (Federal Infantry) was invited to play a game of rounders (vintage baseball) vs a St Louis team (The Brown Stockings) at the recent 150th of the Battle of Wilson’s Creek. The lads play at most events and do well but the vintage team just creamed us. Public loved it. We marched in full uniform lead by the units fifes and drums. The game is a lot of fun.
