  1. I am selling a pair of 1858 Ejector assemblies. No longer needed as I have switched back to Open Tops....These will work on either Howell (R&D) or Kirst gated conversions of the 1858. Ejector assembly is attached to a replacement cylinder pin. One for 8" and one for 5.5" barreled guns. The 5.5 will also work on an 8". are the transitional ones that I reworked from a production error. $100 each or $180 for both. They should work on either Pietta or Uberti. Shown on the Remmies below. NOTE: On a 5.5" 1858, it takes a little modification to to the revolver to change out the cylinder pins. I can send directions if you are interested in the 5.5".
  2. This is the last of my unmated cap gun/conversions up for grabs. '58 Remington made by Pietta, 5.5" barrel .45 colt 5 round gated conversion with safety notch. Also has the kirst improved ejector. No actual smith work but it's as smooth as I can get it myself. Now for the bad side. In order to install the cylinder pin with ejector the loading lever lug had to be removed and re soldered back in. So it will ship with that pin still installed. Also I mistakenly sent the percussion cylinder with another pistol. I do not have another pietta cylinder for it. I will ship the conversion cylinder separately from the frame. Both will come directly to your door. I do have an ASM cylinder I can put on it for shipping purposes only if you like, but it does not function properly on that frame. Asking $500 shipped. Cash, check, money order, or PayPal (friends and family) are all fine with me. Possible trades considered: Hammerless 12ga single shot or sxs Custom leather if you make rigs 44-40 rifle Cash can be added either way to balance it out.
  3. Pietta 51 navy with kirst gated conversion cylinder. Overall good shape but some scuffs around the wedge. No ejector on this one. Asking $450 shipped as a cap gun and the conversion cylinder shipped separately. 38 special ammo runs fine but you have to adjust the OAL shorter. Check, money order or Paypal friends and family all work for me. T.F. Jack
  4. I upgraded to the gated conversion cylinders so I no longer have a use for these. Taylors & Co 45LC conversion cylinders for Pietta .44 cal 58 Remington asking $375 for the pair shipped to your door. I will sell them individually but asking $200 each shipped. Check, Money order, or PayPal friends and family
  5. Selling the second of the 1858 Remington Kirst cartridge conversions from the upcoming October Cowboy Chronicle article. Items included are: Pietta 1858 percussion (with percussion cylinder) a Kirst Gated .45 Colt/Schofield Konverter, an 1858 improved ejector rod assembly, original wood and inexpensive faux-ivory grips from "Get A Grip" and a brown OKlahome slim Jim Holster. This is a 5.5" barreled 1858. Will ship as black powder pistol, so no FFL needed, and 50 state legal. Also shipped separately will be the Kirst gated .45 Colt/Schofield Konverter, the correct ejector rod. The right side of 1858's recoil shield milled "to allow easy capping of cylinder," (and incidentally accommodates the gated converter for loading and unloading the cylinder. Works like a charm). The action is smooth and the revolver dead on at 15 yards with .45 Schofield rounds. The Konverter and ejector run $434 for the set, and the Pistol is $300, and the Slim Jim Holster is $45. You can have this for $535.00 + $18 shipping and insurance. That is a $245 savings, and the recoil shield is already milled with a loading channel if you choose to use the Konverter (which would be a.other $129 from Kirst). The $535 is less than an Uberti 1858 in .45 Colt, but you have both a percussion revolver and a ,45 Colt with no FFL needed. It will be shipped as black powder assembled, with Konverter shipped separate
