I have a blued Ruger Vaquero 44-40 with a fluted 44mag cyliner to trade. 4.6 inch barrel. (The 44 mag cylinder did not come with the gun. I got it seperately.) The 44-40 is the cylinder in the revolver in the pictures. Great gun. It is one of my main match guns. Shoots great, springs are the ones that were in it when I bought it but they are light. I use cci primers and they always work. Brass front sight cover. The bluing is flawless on the 44-40 cylinder and barrel. On the 44mag cylinder the bluing is better than in the pics but not as good as the rest of the trade. Case hardening looks very good, better than in the pics. I do not shoot black and I do not think it has had black but I only owned it for a couple of years so I do not know for sure. It seemed like new when I got it, even though made in the 90s. Some small scratches on the frame by the name 'Ruger'. See the pics. The chambers have been reamed, but a couple of them seem a little tighter than the other 4, so it might need to be done better. Unless the trade is super good I plan to keep the SBH hammer and will re-install the stock hammer before shipping. I don't mind keeping the gun but...I never shot 44-40 through it. It needs to go to someone that will. What I want? A stainless Vaquero 44 mag, 4.6 barrel or shorter, but I would consider 5.5 inch barrel. I can include some 44-40 new starline brass. I think I have around 200 unused pieces. Also some 44-40 dies. If no one is interested, thats okay, I can keep the gun. Let me know what you have if you are a 44-40 guy. PS I have to get another 44 in trade because this is one of my main guns. Really dont want guns in different calibers. Gotta be a Ruger and stainless. I like the stock Ruger hammer block safety. I have some different grips I could swap off if you don't like these. Thanks
