It's an addiction. We go for a drive to watch for hawks and eagles and end up stopping in at our favorite toy stores. I wasn't going to buy anything. Just say hi and look around. Lots of interesting stuff. Then I saw a Dixie Gun Works Rogers and Spencer 44 in the display case. Auh! Man! I just watched a capandball and a Duelist1954 video on this gun. It doesn't look fired. No box or papers. A few handling marks. I was weak and couldn't resist. Anyone shoot these?

Howdy I know there's the Wild Bunch Forum but haven't an account there, so I am asking here. Also, searching the forums didn't help. Not started WB yet and looking for a holster. I've seen a lot with backwards / "FBI" canting angle. As far as I read in the handbooks, the 170° rule applies also in WB. So, muzzle must point downrange within the 170° cone with the exeption of drawing and holstering (holsters of any style) where you must stay within 180°, holstering not relevant for WB, of course. For CAS I have a cross draw holster and I rotate my body for muzzle control. Well, what do you do with a backwards cant holster? I suppose nobody does some kind of limbo dance while drawing... Do you manage that the muzzle is pointing already (at least) straight downwards when it clears the leather? Or is the rule not applicable until you rack the slide? Please educate me! Equanimous Phil

I'm not a cowboy action shooter, but would really figure you all are the experts for my question. I bought an old ruger blackhawk 357 five and half inch barrel, for my son last year. I want to get him a decent western style leather belt and holster for it. He is sixteen, and obviously as he continues to grow, this rig May not last beyond a few years for him. So that in mind, I don't want cheap costume crap, but would like something nice that won't exceed two hundred all combined. What would be your recommendations? Thank you for your help

Besides Tandy Leather Co., who is a good source for craft leather, specifically for make gun holsters. I don't need a whole or probably even a half a hide. What's a good online source? THANKS

Oh! I was so eloquent, even humorous, talking about how my character must have found bits of her rig on the prairie or something. It has Holy Terror holsters from Mernicle, but I pieced the belts together from old belts because... ...Out on the frontier, if a farmer's wife were making do—can't run to the mall and buy things—she would use whatever was available to make things work, hence the bolts that hold pieces together and the mis-matched leather... I included 3 pictures to share, but then I learned it won't let me do that here. I see the My Media tab above, but when I click on it, it doesn't have an option to upload the pictures. I can search them, but not upload them. So............. If you want to see pictures, how do I upload them?
