  1. Back in May of 2022 I bought a used 12 gauge MEC Grabber model 761R Back in June of 1922 I reloaded about 2 cases of Winchester AA’s red hulls.. knowing how some of you have talked about shot and powder spill mishaps I built a catch all spills with some little sides on it out of 3/4” plywood… I adjusted everything to my 12 gauge recipe and this thing worked perfectly.. not a hitch anywhere.. Put the cover on it and set it over on my cabinet counter where it wouldn’t be in the way.. About a week ago.. I was gettin’ down to about 4 boxes and I thought.. rainy day.. I’ll do some reloadin’… I brought it off the counter and set it on my table saw with a table cloth under it.. and took the cover off.. lubricated the joints mechanisms and I figured I’m ready.. I had already purchased primers & shot and had some wads left from before.. Loaded bottles with powder and shot.. 1. First pull of the handle (station 1) I popped out the spent primer.. whoops I forgot to put spent hulls under stations 2&3.. now I’ve got powder and shot all over the catch all.. took a while to clean it all up.. said to myself Rance yer a dumba$$.. do it right now.. It did drop the primer for stage 2 tho.. turned the carrier to stage 2.. ready.. place empty hull in station 1 pull the handle.. but put an spent hull under stations 3 to catch the dropping shot.. it seated new primer and dropped powder.. Station 1 worked too.. I do check for powder drop every pull until I feel confident it’s ok.. Turn carrier to station 3 .. place empty hull in station 1.. put wad on station 3.. pull handle Turn carrier to station 4.. pre crimp.. all other stations good👍🏻 Turn carrier to station 5.. factory crimp.. turn carrier to station 6 taper crimp.. done.. turn carrier to station 1 remove perfect round and start over.. Got about 3 shells reloaded and whoops?? Problem 1.. no powder drop.. looked up at the charge bar.. it was not going all the way to the left to drop proper amount of powder and shot?? Fix.. I adjusted the rod that pushes the charge bar to the left.. fixed it.. ”But how did it get out of adjustment from last reloading batch 3 years ago sitting on the counter?” I finished reloading 4 boxes and every thing else went fine👍🏻 Emptied everything.. Put the cover on and moved it back over to the counter.. Today I thought another rainy day.. Grabber is back working fine.. I reckon I’ll reload 4 more boxes of shells.. Set everything up like last week.. Ready to go.. 1st. Pull of the handle.. Problem 1 again.. charge bar not going all the way to the left.. adjusted it again.. no adjustment left now.. Why? Through stages 2, 3 & 4 it was fine.. Problem 2.. Station 5.. no nice factory crimp?? Problem 3.. I took station 5 apart.. WRONG!! I had to remove the Cam and it’s Roller to get the #5 station back in?? Problem 4.. Now the Cam and Roller won’t go back on?? Problem 5.. Had to remove station #5 to get cam and roller back on?? Problem 6.. It looks like to me the handle has bent because now on the down stroke it hits my catchall board and at the “Y” where the handle comes off the main part oh the machine it has an upside down “V” look to it instead of the straight up and down look.. I’ll try and post pictures if I can.. station #5 has been taken out in these picture.. and if you could.. where does nut go on station #5?? Above or Below the red slot?? It’s 1 AM here now.. I’m stumped and need help.. going to bed now
