For Sale: Modern Winchester Model 1873 Short Rifle Chambered in .44-40 Up for sale, I have a modern made Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Short Rifle, manufactured by Miroku in Japan for Winchester, chambered in .44-40 caliber with 20 inch barrel and case-hardened frame. [Model: M 73 Short Rifle, CH GR3, S, 44-40]. I purchased this rifle new back in 2014 and it is still in very good to excellent condition with really nice wood and case colors. It has been used some but it has not been abused or ever knocked around in a cart (I carry my long guns in a case, even at shoots). The box and manuals are also present and included with the sale. No sales to California because I have not found a local FFL dealer who will ship there and no sales to Alaska or Hawaii due to the cost.
