At the risk of someone harpin on me...lol... i have a pumpkin head and do not have a big nose. I may risk it and go with some of these Wiley glasses. 15. I am proud to say Widder is a mentor and friend of mine and has taught me so much about the 97 and so many other things about the game. The 97 is a very interesting firearm with many variations of loading and firing. Much more so than the farm or granny gun.....ie the double...lol
  16. Alias Johnny Harlan SASS# 101321 Where I'm From - Johnson City, TN. Years Shooting SASS - 3
  17. Noz, idd be careful about fishin in that pond. Copperhead seems to stock it of the morning and night with some wierd species of Brown Trout. Sends em in through a 4" pvc pipe straight from his house. Must be a home grown setup.
  18. TN Williams, you Got a killer spot with your name on it pal. Right beside me and Waimea. I have a hearty crew rollin in with me, Jim Powder & Crosscut Dave. We will have a blast!!!
  19. Woo Hoo! Bout time some cowboys knuckle up!! I mention "tent" to most cowboys and they look at me like I said "Nancy Pelosi is my baby momma!!!! "
  20. Waimea, me n you the only ones tough enough for tents again this year?
  21. One other option that I recently chose is to get the wood replacement from Doc Noper. Just remove your metal plate and this one screws right into place, filling the top gap and making the stock flat. Comes with a suede cover. I really love mine and it is a 10 minute change over. Look up Doc Noper on the interwebs, call and leave a message. He will call back later the same day.
  22. You to Butch. Cant wait till next time and thanks for your help. Would do it all again tomorrow.
  23. Just made it home from my 1st state match, TN. This was the best time I have ever had shooting, hands down. The people were great, the stages were well thought out and the grounds were immaculate. Thanks to the Wartrace Regulators and all the others that have worked so hard to make this event so special. This is what its all about. JOHNNY HARLAN
  24. I am a relatively new shooter, 3 yrs or so, and a long time firearms enthusiast. The customizing of the guns, leather, using different smiths, making things the way you want them, slicker and faster, is a very big part of the game and very interresting for me. It is easy to see why one would find great pleassure and satisfaction in some tricked out guns no matter their skill level. Just like the street racer is constantly working on and recreating his car. Now I didnt say this is an inexpensive route to follow but it sure is fun. I have made alot of mistakes and bad decisions along the way; but thats the only way I learn anything anyhow.
