  1. 2nd to what Larsen told you. Just cut the barrel and run it! I have shot 16's for many years and love them for CAS as well as hunting. I reload 16 and Red Dot is not a popular powder for it. It creates high pressures in anything more than a 7/8 oz load. I have heard though that if you buy the available Fiocchi hulls the pressure will be lower, just stick with the 7/8 oz shot charge, if not, Unique is a good choice for this gauge.
  2. Cartridge guide was bent near rivet. Thanks for the replies.
  3. How's it going Rye? I ordered one of those little Glocks this weekend. Glad to hear the good review!
  4. Hi, I was wondering if any of you would have any ideas on a problem I'm having with one of my 97's. When the trigger is pulled and the slide moved rearward in the cycling action, the cartridge stop is staying up and the screw head for the slide hook runs into it. The action won't open. If I take my finger and push down on the cartridge guide and free it from the slide hook screw head I can cycle it. Any help would be appreciated!
  5. After running a match for 8 years I don't have to tell anyone who's done it how difficult it is to come up with different and challenging stages month after month. In my first couple of years I did the cards, dice roll, carrying props type stages, but as I progressed and learned from a couple of highly successful clubs here in Ohio, I found that most shooter's regardless of age liked the bigger, closer targets. My match attendance went up as I took on this philosophy. In one of my last stages in the last year of running my match I did a stage that was 100% knock down targets, during the match and afterwards I found that the shooter's hated that stage!
  6. When you put one in a police car it becomes a "patrol rifle"!
  7. It will get better with Moonbeam, LOL!!!!!!!!!
  8. Please don't misunderstand my post as a slam on Taylor's, I have purchased from them before and had no problems. I was just wondering if anybody was waiting a while for an order. My last pair from them was also a custom finish and custom grips and it didn't take nearly as long. Thanks for the replies & have a Merry Christmas.
  9. Has anyone else on the wire ordered a gun from Taylor's and have a longer than usual wait? I ordered a 5.5" 357 cal revolver and requested the charcoal blue finish on it. I ordered it in March! It's almost Jan. and I still don't have it. The first time we called they said they were waiting on lots of orders from Italy and that the plant was shut down for a month. Next call said the revolver was done but the finish wasn't. Next call was told they were checking on it etc. Anyone else waiting?
