i remember shooting with a shooter who would bring out a Marlin Cowboy in 32 mag only for stages ending with rifle. His times were often questionable on those stages. Gunsmoke tried it once. I watched one shooter reshoot the stage 4 times before he got a usable time. Stage design, TO skill and rifle/load all effect the ability to pickup shots.
Sounds like a SOG issue

Taylors and sons offers the stallions with 4 3/4 barrels. Its the .38 smaller frame w/ the birdshead grips. They have some in the dings and dents . Theyre going to get dinged and dented, you might as well save a few hundred dollars

Buncha BS.
The prop failure hurt all the other shooters that didn't get a static target.
Whoever would accept their time on a Swinger stage where the Swinger didn't "Swing" is someone that I don't want to have anything to do with. They're cheaters in my book.

Dude, i get what youre saying but the shooter does not have option to stop shooting as the rules are written. If we had to grant reshoots everytime rolling stock or bowling balls failed at winter range we'd still be finishing matches from 12 yrs ago.

I switched to birdsheads 20 yrs ago and never looked back. They just seem to groove into my palm for POA.

And grease really stays where you put it????
Oooookay...

a lot of the respected old timers used to tell me to use grease not oil
i never did, goes against my thinking but if it works for them, let it.

He wasn't a bad guy in All the pretty horses or the hateful eight, although I guess he had a questionable past in H8

The lightning, having a smaller, lighter frame, shouldn't be subjected to 357 pressures. I've never tried but I'm guessing you can't fit it in the cylinder as is. Curiosity may get me to check.

I answered your pm. See you there.

frog,
where are you? i have a pair she can try. my wife shot them till she pretty much wore them out and now shoots a full frame with gun fighter grips.
she can try these lightnings, my thunderers or her GF grips. send me a PM with contact info or tell me where you shoot. we live in norco and you can usually find us at west end or cajon on saturdays.

Let's talk rifle last & Power factors ----------------

I shoot regularly at 5 different clubs. Rifle cant be last at 3 of them. For me, i regularly give shooters the option but we dont have prop walls at our monthly matches so its really a non issue. If the muzzle is thru an opening and the shooter's body may prevent the TO from getting into a good position, then it's not the best idea.
