was that the range of the state shoot ? will you go for that once established ? ive been planning to make a shoot there i will look at my calendar and see if i can be there next season , congrats and good luck ,

No the Lincoln range was located about ten miles east of Lincoln on the Issac Walton range.  The new range is about 20 miles south of Lincoln, just off Hwy 77 on the Lancaster/Gage Counties line.  The State shoot was near Grand Island, Nebraska..

The Best Western on 2nd Avenue Edmond is pretty good. Right close to a lot of restuarants, bar etc.

We use to stay at the Best Western, but the last year we stayed there, we had to go stay on the Second floor and there is no elevator in the building, and the stairs are steep...

Saw a nice list of motels/hotels.  Any particular one shooters seem to prefer?

We changed to the La Quinta last year after staying there on a trip several years ago, and were extremely disappointed.  We reported roaches in the room the first day and they never came to take care of them.  that was just the tip of the iceberg, we won't be staying there this trip...

    I miss Tom....Redwing was such a staple.

I talked with him last year on the phone, he was still making knifes, but Karen was managing a restaurant in Kimball, NE....

    I guess I'm just unlucky.

I used a smooth tent canvas sleeve on my BSS up until last year.  about 1/2" of bluing rubbed off at the muzzle.

My wife also used a similar sleeve on her Uberti '73.  The same thing happened on the octagon ridges.

I guess we should have bought them from you.   I suspect there is a lot of difference in canvas.  Mine were 100% cotton.

The one's I sold were made out of Sunforger Canvas, I personally sold over a thousand of them, and Red wing trading company also sold them.  I still see a lot of them in use today...

Canvas will rub bluing off of rub points, over repeated use.

I had a tent company make canvas gun sleeves which I sold about fifteen years ago, and which were featured in Shoot! Magazine, mine and many others I sold are still in use and have never rubbed the bluing off!!!!

  7. Just my thoughts, but Beretta left a blue State to move to red State and created jobs, and wasn't forced out of business by a very anti-gun State Government, now the contract is awarded to a good company with a good product, but in a blue State that didn't vote with the rest of the country....
