She was born a healthy, beautiful little girl in October 2012. In December 2012, she fell ill with a virus that affected her heart. In early January 2013, she was placed on the heart transplant list. Raylyn’s heart function improved enough with medication to have her removed from the transplant list. Over the last several months, Raylyn’s heart function started to decline and fail. Medication is no longer working. It was decided to implant a LVAD pump until she receives a new heart. She has been placed back on the heart transplant list status 1a.
