Every CAS match starts with the pledge and a prayer. I don't know of any other group activity that starts with the pledge. I am a little curious if other types of shooting competitions do it as well? In Texas, as of the last few years most of the clubs I shoot with also recite the Texas pledge after the USA flag. It's short and pretty easy to remember: I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible. So I also wonder if any clubs in other states do likewise. If the moderators think this should be in the saloon, please move it.
