Exciting News!! We would like to announce that the Thunder on the Mountain Colorado State Shoot will be kicking off Mayhem in the Rockies! this is an opportunity to showcase your shooting skills and consistency at multiple venues. Thin Mint will be organizing this but in a nutshell your results will be tracked across six separate state matches and your aggregate score will determine placement. Colorado is proud to join Idaho, New Mexico, Wyoming, Utah and Montana for the inaugural event. There will be a link to application forms on our website as well as hard copy at our state shoot. Event rules are simple, best three matches of the six count, with three being the minimum to qualify. Details to follow. Should be fun with a chance for fame and glory (just kidding about that but some nice awards are at stake!) Looking forward to seeing and hearing from you all!! The Thunder Mountain Shootists are excited to be the host club for the: Colorado - 2026 Single Action Shooting Societies Cowboy Action and Wild Bunch Championships! "Thunder on the Mountain" Save the date! Thursday May 14 - Sunday May 17 Thursday and Friday will be 5 stages each day (Total 10 Stages) of Wild Bunch action. Saturday and Sunday will be 6 stages each day (Total 12 Stages) of Cowboy Action. Traditional speed side matches and long range (up to 350 yards) will be offered as well. We will also have a 22 plate rack side match. Application is PDF and fillable. PO Box for snail mail for payment and registration is at the bottom of the application. Weather should be mild, lows around 50 and highs up to 80, average around 60.
