There will be a memorial service for Blue Boy this coming Saturday, March 19th at 3pm. It will be held at Central Christian Church, 404 East Main St. Murfreesboro, TN 37130. This will follow the mid-month match at Wartrace. There’s talk of a “shotgun send off at the match. Cowboy dress is encouraged, but we’re asking that you not wear guns. Our friend was the oldest active member in SASS at the time of his passing.

Howdy folks, Just wanted to let you know the Sandusky County Regulators will be having their last monthly shoot of the year on Saturday, November 14, at the Sandusky County Sportsmen's Club II in Gibsonburg, OH. You can find all the details on our website . The weather forecast is looking great; in the low 50's and mostly sunny. This month, all of our starting lines will be the 1949 classic western "Bugs Bunny Rides Again!". I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's Yosemite Sam impression. The side match will be long-range pistol, using your main match pistols and ammo at some rifle-distance targets. We will be setting up for the match on Friday at 3:30 if you would like to help.

THSS in Columbus, Texas, has long hosted its monthly matches on the third Sunday of each Month. Starting in October, THSS will have matches on both Saturday and Sunday on the third weekend of the month. Saturday matches will use the same scenarios as the prior month’s Sunday match. So you can shoot both days that weekend and enjoy two different cowboy action matches. Saturday matches will follow the same schedule as Sundays: Shooter’s meeting at 8:30, line goes hot around 9 am. Years ago, Cowboy Szymanski would set up his period-correct blacksmith shop in a tent at Trailhead, showing how it was done way back then. Since then, he's been busy, including showing his skills on tv on Forged in Fire. This Saturday, April 7, he and some FIF friends will display their skills in Bellville, Texas. Cowboy's Phenix Knives, in the historic 1891 Blacksmith Shop, is located at 305 East Main, just a couple of blocks off the square. Free demonstrations (10am - 4pm), and I'm sure they will have hand-crafted forged knives for sale. While in Bellville, you can visit Market Day on the Square (9am - 4pm), shop the Farmer's Market (9am - Noon), and tour the 1896 Jail Museum (11 am - 3pm). Bellville is a nice, quiet little Texas town, and the bluebonnets are in full bloom. I hope you can come visit. 20180407 Knife - Bellville.pdf
