I know a lot of people like this movie but I trudged through it last night. Almost 3 hours, fell asleep in the middle for about a half hour. I've seen it before a long time ago. My personal review is it kinda sucks. Slow moving, too many really up close facial scenes. Music was terrible. The acting was way over the top and I like Charles Bronson and Henry Fonda but not in this movie! The only thing good in my estimation was Claudia Cardinale and she wasn't even that great in her acting. Thoughts on this movie?

Anyone see this? I don't know how historically correct it is but it's pretty entertaining. Lots of action!! It's from 1979.

I was watching Don Knotts the other knight on AMC Channel. When he was getting on the train, his mother pulled out a 1875 Remington. Said your Father used it in the Civil War . I know they took a lot of libertys back then on props . It struck me a little Funny .

Prairie Dawg wrote an excellent review and comparison of the original Magnificant 7 and the recent remake. Here's a link to his full review. It's part of Tusco's monthly newsletter. It got me thinking about how the great westerns really need a great bad guy. I personally prefer my bad guys to have some depth to their character rather than some of the 1 dimensional, evil dude doing evil things. So who's your favorite bad guy?

Saw the original last year with Clint Eastwood. It was pretty intense, and was really disturbing because one of the little girls was a dead ringer for my niece. Comes out this Friday.
