Announcing the 2022 Georgia State SASS Championship – Stampede At South River. Fast Eddie and the folks at the South River Gun Club in Conyers GA cordially invite everyone to come on to Georgia and shoot with us at the 2022 Georgia State SASS Championship. You can find match information on the state match website located here. The match will be held Thurs May 19 – Sat May 21. The Georgia State Black Powder Championship will be held on Thurs May 19th separate from the main match. Side matches and the state black powder championship are on Thurs. The first 5 stages of the main match will be shot on Friday and the remaining 5 stages and awards will be held on Saturday. In lieu of a banquet, we will have an awards ceremony on Saturday evening. Along with upgraded awards, we will also be providing lunch tokens on Friday and Saturday to all contestants. You will have your choice of entree from the club house snack bar. There are 54 camping spaces with electric and water hookups on the range and are several hotels located about 12 miles from the range in Conyers at exit 82 off I-20. The match director is Fast Eddie and the stages are being written by Blackhawk Henry and Fast Eddie. We are scheduled for our last shoot of the year this Saturday (10-28-2017) and it will be our Halloween shoot. Wear your cowboy garb or your best Halloween costume. I'll bring donuts and coffee to get us going. The safety briefing is at 9:45 and shooting starts at 10:00. The Boy Scouts will be picking brass and there will be some great food after the match for sale. The weather looks cool but the rain looks like it will be gone by mid-morning. See you there!

Hey fellow shooters. We will be holding our monthly match this Saturday as scheduled. Registration begins at 8:30, safety meeting at 9:45 and the shoot should start at 10:00. For directions check out our web site here. The weather should be great and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone get in some quality shooting before summer slips away completely. Last match we stumbled getting the scouts available for picking brass but we believe that we have some of those issues resolved and at least one lucky posse won't have to pick the brass. We also should have a grill set up to purchase food during and after the match.

Last Saturday was a first for me. After chasing a goal for several years, I finally shot my first clean match. Felt great!
