    Thank You!

This is NOT a commercial post. I did not ask Moderator permission however, since it was granted for the request, I hope it’s ok that I’ve posted a Thank You. 🥰 When I posted asking for help during End of Trail, @Boggus Deal #64218 and @Cpt Dan Blodgett, SASS #75655 responded! Many others stopped by to see if they could help - many of the Arizona Rangers and Match Officials did as well. ! Thank you all, too! Boggus Deal and Captain Dan’s son, Dan, who we named “Lt. Dan”, were so very helpful. I have known Boggus Deal for a long time. Boggus Deal’s help was priceless - securing/opening the tent with the winds howling as well as with projects I didn’t have time for and for which Tommy didn’t have the eyes… We met “Lt Dan” on Sunday before the match started when he came by with his Dad to meet us and figure out a schedule. He was a wee bit shy and said he didn’t know the cowboy game but that he’d do his best to help everyone who stopped by. OMG! By the end of the week, “Lt Dan” was gunning for “Employee of Week”. He learned all about the products, spoke to customers - “we offer a lot of products but bullets and powder are our bread and butter”. 🤣🥰. There were times I sat back and watched! Boggus and I were laughing with each other saying, “I thought he said he was shy”! Thank you guys so much! You made the week SUCH FUN, gave me the chance to shoot the match, not fret over Tommy, and enjoy ourselves. Thank you to this community for the outpouring of concern, prayers, love and kindness for Tommy. You announced yourselves since he can’t recognize faces and didn’t make it awkward. We all have battles that we are facing - and ours is fully public now…Tommy is more private than I and was a little unsure how things would go…it was a busy week, we were tired but boy, we felt some love. With all the hugs and love I possess! Scarlett Tommy Boggus Deal, Lt Dan (in FULL cowboy gear) and me Oh, 2200 lbs of lead came on a pallet. Lt Dan was moving so fast Boggus had to ask him to slow down! 😂 Boggus Deal and Tommy securing the tent for the night with the desert winds was no small feat.
  2. Howdy all, For those making the trip out here to Indiana for End of Trail, 4 days after EOT the Indiana State Championship (JULY 2, 3, 4) is right here at the same place !!!! We will do a total reset of the range (targets, props and several other things will change fast) We would love for you all to stick around and shoot the Indiana State match with us !!!! If you are camping on site, you can just stay in place if you wish. There are lots of great things to see in northern Indiana in between the shoots if you wanted to go site seeing. Amish Acres and 100's of Amish shops in the area, tons of lakes and awesome little towns, Shipshewana, Nappanee, Notre Dame, Studebaker museum, Albanese Chocolate factory, antique shops and dozens of parks to pick from. June should be a very nice time of year here ( mid 70's at night and mid 80's during the day) July goes up 5 degrees roughly, but we most of the time have a good breeze. Think about it, we would love to have you stay over and enjoy ! Check out our website for more info at Paradise Pass Thanks everyone for your support to SASS and our club.
  3. I have seen a lot of conversations pondering where the most attendance will come from for EoT this year. So I took the Who's Coming List released by SASS HQ yesterday (2/16/21) and did a little analysis. Check it out and let me know what you think. EoT Attendance Breakdown 2-17-21.pdf
  4. I'm sure that all of us are anxiously awaiting the final results of the 2017 EOT Competitions. Got a few Pards that shoot at our Club (Santa Fe River Stan , Delta Glen & Shelleen) , and I'm interested in seeing how they are progressing. Not sure how this works, since this is the first year that I have been actively shooting, and interested in EOT. I just checked in the Event Forums/END of TRAIL and did not see any status updates; however, on the SASS HOME Page, I see where they now have posted a 2017 page with all the various categories listed, a sign that they are preparing to post the results when it ends June 25, 2017. I wasn't sure if there was another location (website) where preliminary results could be found. Guess I'm used to seeing bracket results for the NBA, and wasn't sure if that type of tracking was either possible, being done already or too labor intensive. If possible it would probably look something like this:

  6. As of April 19, only 4 END OF TRAIL contestants had entered Frontiersman. I found one who didn't know about the deadline, so we have at least 5. We need 7--BEFORE MAY 1. You may enter EOT after May 1, but if Frontiersman doesn't have 7 entries on May 1, the category will be dropped. SO, FRONTIERSMEN, ENTER EOT NOW. Check "Who's Coming" on the EOT page. Other categories have similar problems.

  8. Hi Everyone! Many hands make light work, and END of TRAIL has been blessed to have a hard working group of volunteers called Waddies. Waddies are a group of dedicated volunteers who, like their Old West namesakes, do the things that help the operation run smoothly. The fact is, END of TRAIL wouldn't happen without the hard work of EOT Waddies. Our team of Waddies travel from all over to lend a hand wherever they are needed. These are the folks that make it happen; from the friendly Waddie who greets you at the front gate when you arrive to those stocking water for our valued guests. Waddie opportunities are available for all attendees, and as our event continues to grow, so does our need for help. Whether you have an hour of time to donate- or a whole week- END of TRAIL needs you! Click on this link to view the time slots, needs... and to SIGN UP TODAY! CLICK HERE FOR EOT 2017 WADDIE SIGN UP For over 30 years Waddies have been an integral and crucial element of END of TRAIL. We are proud of each and every one of them; past and present. We thank them for their spirit, their "can do" attitude, and for carrying on this proud tradition. See ya'll at END of TRAIL! Misty Moonshine
  9. At EOT it takes 7 entrants to make an aged based category, fewer for ladies categories. Frontiersman has been growing lately. With luck we could have Senior Frontiersman, or even Silver Senior Frontiersman or Elder Statesman Frontiersman, maybe all three if we try. So when you enter, enter what you’re old enough to qualify for: Elder Statesman Frontiersman, Silver Senior Frontiersman, or Senior Frontiersman. Odds are they would be combined to Senior Frontiersman, but who knows? That would still be an extra category—devoid of kids, meaning anyone 59 and younger. The worst that could happen is we wind up with just Frontiersman. If we do nothing, that’s what will happen. So we have nothing to lose. It costs nothing to try. Just call SASS. I entered Silver Senior Frontiersman. Slipnoose handled it for me, so I’d suggest asking for her.
