This is for our friends who machine embroider. I have recently purchased a sewing/quilting/embroidery machine and am loving it!!! I have created so many projects, I'm starting to really go through thread. As much as I would prefer to "buy small", like the shop I purchased the machine from, $12.00 - $15.00 per spool for embroidery machine thread will break me in short order. My machine prefers Gutermann thread. I have had fewer breakage and knotting problems with it than Coats or Wonderfil. Are there any other brands out there I can try? If so, what is your experience with them? Madeira is the hot ticket. I created this with 9 colors, 13 changes and only 3 breaks, because the spool became bound up and caused the break. Been reading a lot of the past THREADS regarding Cap & Ball Revolvers and wanted to get a consolidated view of the Pros and Cons of each type. I've read that there may be issues with knockdowns with the .36 cal and that the .44 cal is better. Which ammo supplies are the least expensive? Does it really make a difference whether it's an 1858 an 1860 or an 1861? Which brand is better made out of the box, Uberti, Remington, or any other manufacturer? Which one is easier to modify, and what would those modification be, and why would they be needed? Lastly, should one let the cost get in the way of their decision? What I mean by this, is are there just as well made, high quality revolvers at a better price point than stepping up to a more expensive model. Thanks for your input.
