Shot Roughshod Raiders The First Ride (first annual match) today in Gainesville, Florida. Thanks to Delta Glen, Hawkeye Gin and all the hardworking crew for a great match. Started with a stirring song and prayer, then horseback riders galloping in, flags aloft and firing (blanks) into the air. Delta Glen said he was so excited by the great turnout that his "shirt was puffing up." We were glad it was only his shirt. Some incredibly different and wonderful props, stage scenarios and targets (one of which Hollifer A. Dollar managed to set ablaze with a full load of Goex in his revolvers). The thought and effort that went into this match was abundantly evident. Terrific food at the awards. Congrats to Top Guns Santa Fe River Stan and Hawkeye Gin. These are the kind of shoots that keep you coming back--that and all the good friends who make up our cowboy community.

The opening ceremony from the Roughshod Raiders' first annual match, The First Ride on January 28, 2017. I have to brag on Rooster Ray and Johnny Showchaps (plus their equine stars, Cherokee and Gunner) for their awesome entrance. Plus, Johnny's daughter Emily did a beautiful job on the national anthem.
