I have a set of Model Ps in .357 I bought second hand. They work great, but the grips are too small. I have XXL hands. Yes gloves are a pain to find. Apparently they have Navy grips on them. I want to change them to Army grips. Does anyone know where I can find some that will fit this frame? Google has been no help. Not sure if they are just rare or if mybsearch strung is incorrect. If it helps, these were made by Pietta, not Uberti. I'm not sure if that matters for parts like this. Any help would be very appreciated.

I posted this on another board also so please forgive me if you've already seen this. Thanks and sorry for the long first post... First let me say Cimarron's customer service has been absolutely outstanding, as has my local gun store Northeast Trading Co in Massachusetts. 6 weeks ago I bought a Cimarron Hammer Coach 12 gauge and took it to my first Cowboy Action Shoot. With less than a box of shells through it, the rib popped up. I had to stop for the day before finishing all my rounds. Cimarron was great and replaced the shotgun with a new one. My local store was great and didn't charge me a transfer fee. However I noticed something strange written on the box that was not on the first shotgun I bought just 6 weeks prior; Well I had to call the company on another matter and I asked them about it. No, I don't have to buy full brass shells haha (boy THAT would have gotten expensive). They just say the cheap aluminum stuff from WalMart expands too much and gets stuck in the gun (I suspect this has a lot to do with the rough finish of the chambers in these Chinese made guns). Any thoughts on the matter from the experts?

So being the good husband that I am, I was going to clean my wife's new-only-shot-once Cimarron Lightning revolvers, and found out the hard way that these things have a base pin that only works one way. The base pin has dimples on only one side that the base pin spring goes over. To help with making sure you orient the base pin correctly, the top of the base pin is flat in one spot. You must have that flat part against the barrel of the revolver. It is very easy to accidentally turn the base pin as you're sliding it into the cylinder, and that's what happened to me. By the time I had this figured out, both revolvers were stuck. To fix it, I removed the base pin screw/spring to make my life easier, then gently tapped the base pin out a bit to free the top of it that had gotten stuck against the barrel. I then carefully made sure I slid the base pin back in correctly, and I was back in business. Flat top of base pin: Beveled part that goes over the spring:

Hi all! Got a noobie question and I could use an education. What are the real differences between buying an (1873 type) Uberti directly and buying a Taylor's & Co. or Cimmaron? I ask for your forgiveness in advance if this topic has been covered and beaten to death already. --Ferrit P.S.- I do realize also that Taylor's & Co. and Cimarron are special importers of Uberti and Pietta pistols. But I work in a gunshop and we just became an Uberti dealer.
