I have caught the bug! I really want to start CAS, a Uberti 1873 44Mag will match perfectly with my 44 Mag pistol. I certainly can not use magnum loads for CAS- Does Uberti 1873 44Mag fit 10rnds 44Special? Will it cycle 10 rnds 44 Special without one in the chamber? I can't underpower Magnum cartridges for 44 special when reloading cause size is an issue, the Uberti 44 Mag will only carry 9+1 rnds of mag length cartridges and thats not ok in CAS I'm told. I emailed Uberti distributor Taylor Firearms and they said they didn't have one to try it out on and they contacted the factory and the factory said same thing.
