Since I've been working on this old Winchester 1887,  I've noticed a lot of little features early model (made in 1887) differ from later models.  A few I noticed are,  1)The way the magazine tube is mounted - this early one has a lug soldered to the barrel rather than a clamp system. Also, the magazine tube is not threaded into the reciever - it just sets in a hole. 2) The early model has one extractor on the bolt on the left side.  Later models have an extractor on the left and right side.  3)
