Hola Cowboys and Cowgirls!

I made a stage generator and I would love for some cowboys to test it out!

Here’s what you need to know:

  1. I created it because I always forget something when stage writing and have to make updates on the fly LOL
  2. it includes every sweep I could find (thanks to everyone that has made sweep collections online)
  3. Here’s the link https://mississippiriverrangers.org/873-2

Here’s the feedback I’m looking for:

  1. Are there any sweeps you would like me to add?
  2. How is the functionality?
  3. Is anything missing?
  4. Do you have any ideas for improvement?

Thank you in advance to everyone that tested!

Cheers,

Padre de Cinco

Looks great, I have to get a printer. Mine died. Ive been writing them by hand for our club. It’s okay but this looks really good!👍

Is it available for download?

This is really a great idea.

The stage I created prints on two pages. Is there a way to get it to print on one or is it my printer?

Not a big deal but different target shapes, Cowboys, Buffalo etc would be nice.

I like it, along with above ideas, I would add the shooting position Pistol, rifle, shotgun (table, hay bale).

Nice job!!

@Padre De Cinco

Awesome job! Claude or v0?

I put these features in mine -

Help/guide button to de-clutter the UI

I added a match summary page with round count and aggregated target positions, this is specific to our range so it also has the option to hide that box in the summary.

Built in some logic to seperate 1911 pistol round count from the main match round count

Print to PDF as default, that way you can force the code to fit everything on A4, then let the user figure out their own printer settings

Save load/option - this is handy if you are collaborating and a great way to get others to submit their ideas, that way you can load their match and make changes if required instead of creating every stage. Also handy to be able to load a previous match. (It generates a csv file)

I also set the code to write to local cache so if you get interrupted and close the browser, when you hit the URL again it loads where you were up to

The other bit of logic I added was reordering shooting sequences so the instructions are ordered the same as the firearm order

Multiple shooting positions that can be renamed

Can run on iOS, Android and Windows.

Can run stand alone (looks like yours can too)

Consider snap to grid for your target placement box

You limit pistols to staged or holstered, consider adding "In hand(s)" or just making it free text.

I hosted mine on Github and give out a QR code to hit the index, there is also a converter for Practiscore results for anyone that is frustrated with PS v2 pdf result format.

(The default preload for mine has dummy 1911 values so please don't point out problems with stages 7,8,9)

Pretty slick.  I'll second Griff about a download.

Yes, I can run it offline.

I thought I had the two-page problem fixed. I’ll look into it. Target shapes…I bet I can figure that out.

Really nice.  I had to add shooting instructions like "Shotgun shot from left and right tables.  Remakes from where first engaged." to the section on staging.  Perhaps it would be better in the ATB.  Also instructions where split firearms are required.

As said before, it would be nice to have an indication of shooting positions, labeled like "table", "window", "shelf", or "between uprights".

That is just down right dirty COOL!

Any way to change the shape of the targets?

4 target sweep I call the "Cold Coffee Sweep"   1-2-3-4-4, 4-3-2-1-1

And the Ball Room Sweep, three targets:  1-2-1-2-3, 1-2-1-2-3
