I went to a seminar at the NRA convention about this type of thing.

I will post the name of the instructor when I get back, but he is super knowledgeable out this type of event.

I am not going to mention the name of the event, because I do not want to led credibility to the evil person.

But a locked door slowed this person down by about 3 seconds.

The instructor said something to the effect "Locks on doors will keep you safe every day until the day the shooter shows up"

Locks and cameras on all outside doors might help!

They were always locked when I went to school! If course during recess the teacher always put a chair in it to keep it from closing!

Locked inside doors will do little to prevent a determined attacker. For that matter, there’s little that can be done if the shooter has any access to the building or a floor plan to make preparations and devise tactics to circumvent the security measures.

 

Armed personnel, whether police, private security, or teachers and staff can be a significant deterrent, but even that can be defeated with proper planning and execution.

 

A more than significant factor in all of this is the fact that these antis and the media repeatedly identify and call attention to the past perpetrators!! Almost all of these recent events have revealed that the shooter or shooters either idolized or sought to outdo their predecessors!!

 

AND PEOPLE!! IT AIN’T GUNS!!  IT’S THE PEOPLE THAT SEEK TO GAIN NOTORIETY BY HARMING OTHERS!!

 

While most of these perps use guns, they would just as likely use knives, clubs, or even explosives to get the attention and recognition they seek!!
