I had a Mernickle shotgun belt where the shells would fall out each time I bent over to pick something up.

I sent it to them to repair, and they sewed on a new piece of leather that placed them slightly outward and higher above the belt line.

They did a wonderful job and I am quite happy with it. The belt sits just below my belly button so that part is good. I just want to make sure it abides by the "Contour Rule" and it doesn't stick out too far. I would say there may be a 1/2" gap between the shells and my belly, and if I suck in my gut, it may be about an inch gap.

Take a look at the pictures and let me know your thoughts. I would think that Mernickle would not make something against the rules as they make belts for SASS shooters and from what I hear, they too are SASS shooters.

Pale Wolf would be the arbitrator on this one.

Looks, to me, as if the shells tilt out too much, but that's PWB's call

I wouldn't complain about it, doesn't look any worse than slides as stated.

The fatter I get, the more my shells naturally tilt. Guess i'm getting fatter in exactly the right place.

Looks OK to me.
As noted, similar to wearing an ammo slide over a belt.
"Tilt" not excessive...IMO.

Thanks Pard!!! 🤠

Ya' know....people tell me I should lose weight. But then I tell them:

"Do you know how much I spent on food to get this?"

"Do you know how much time I have invested in eating....and now you want me to get rid of it?!?!"

"Other people have chest muscles, arm muscles, leg muscles....THIS, is a TABLE MUCLE which I use to push the table away when I am full!!!"

I’ve been heading if a different direction due to health issues. Lost 25-30lbs this last year. Now I am adding other ammo slides to pad the back of my shotgun belt to hold it tighter to remain in compliance for matches.
