I always enjoyed musicians who were having FUN as well as making good music: Glen Campbell, Roy Clark, The Kingston Trio, The Oak Ridge Boys, The Statler Brother, Reba and Dolly, and dozens of others.

Too many so-called musicians these days just look like they are working too hard and turn out a whole mess of trash.

Alan Jackson summed it up very well in that Country Music of most of today's artists are not country at all......Some seem to think if you put on a cowboy hat and hold a guitar that you will automatically be a star.......

I saw Roy Clark years ago in Reno (or Vegas.  Can't remember which) about half way through his show, and after watching him play about six different instruments, he stopped and said "I know what you folks are thinkin'. You're thnkin' 'Lord, ain't that boy talented' ".

Cracked up the whole crowd.  :D

I did pretty well with alto and tenor saxophones and some oddball stuff like spoons, saws, a home made tubb-a, hair combs and wax paper, and such, and I was a fair to middling cowboy and Swiss yodeler.......until my voice collapsed and it sounded like gargling.

Now my music comes mostly from 94.3 and 100.7 FM radio: same station, mostly C&W
