I’m Not Dead Yet aka The Old Man Blues 😁

 

I wish I had more energy

But I’m just too damn old

Thats why nowadays

My feet get so damn cold

But I’m not dead yet

So I’m feeling kinda bold

 

No I’m not dead yet

I was almost, once or twice

I can tell you here and now

It really ain't that nice

 

Why just the other day

I walked into a door

I bumped my knee and I stubbed my toe

And I fell down on the floor

 

When I stood up quick I hit my head

On the liquor cabinet

I screamed so loud my neighbors thought

I was playin a clarinet

 

But I’m here to tell you anyhow

I’m not dead yet

 

When I was a younger fella

I did some crazy stuff

Joined the army for a coupla years

But that was quite enough

 

Jumped outa big old airplanes

Climbed a mountain top or two

Almost got my ass blown up

I swear to God that’s true

But

I’m here to tell ya now

I’m not dead yet

 

Now all you young folks listen

As you ramble on through life

Just keep on movin forward

Through all the trials and strife

 

And when you’re old and gray

And the young folks look at you

Just smile and look em in the eye

And say just like I do.

HEY!

I’m not dead yet
