Very impressive !  A shooter at our club did the same or similar.  I've lost about 25 pounds in the last 3 months by reducing carbs in my diet to get a much better A1C .

I cut back a bit in sugar, salt, white bread, and a few other things, but I mostly eat all I did before.

I simply don't eat as much nor as often.  I used to just graze all day long.

Go to the mail box? Grab a cookie. Head call?  Take a mini-Snickers,  Watching TV?  Always have potato chips at your side.  Supper time?  Get two meals from the beautiful sirloin you picked up yesterday.  Just stop eating all day long.

It took a week or so to get used to the new routine, but it didn't bother me much.  It doesn't even take much will power, but I developed a healthy pattern of won't power.  I do allow myself to spurge once in awhile.  (There's this Mexican place that has been here since before Geronimo ran around the area raising hell.  They make some marvelous meals...and I almost always bring home a box with enough for one or two more meals for later in the week.)

I added a few things to my diet, but I found that I'd rather starve than eat most dark green vegetables. yogurt, pumpkin seeds, almost anything with artificial sweeteners, many canned foods or any "wonder supplements" advertised on SPAM sources.......they don't work anyway and cost a fortune.  I read the labels looking for "ingredients" and checking percentages.  You'd be amazed at the crap that goes into almost all pre-packaged food.

Hey, kids, if I can do it, you can do it.

Congratulations on the weight loss. No pun intended, but it seems you've found your 'sweet spot' for eating habits.

I like the grazing comment. Now....to stop grazing!

Congrats for your achievement!!  Glad to hear that's working for you.

My provider won't certify me for a knee replacement until I lose an appreciable amount of weight.  My issues are I stress eat at work and Uno cooks pre-made (read prepared, high fat, high salt, lots of preservatives and low nutrient content) meals.  I'm teaching Uno how to cook healthier meals and that is going well.  I'm about to start working with a dietician on ways to reduce my stress eating at work.  My provider also wants to start me on a GLP-1 drug.  She says it will help reduce the inflammation caused by my RA and help get me more mobile.  We'll see how all this goes.

Do some research on the GLP - have read there are some folks who get nasty side effects. I don't have weight issues other than keeping it steady, but just don't want more surgery - knees not good but still mostly work. Best of luck with your plans!
